If that's better than what you've expected, what was it, that you've expected?

Yeah one of the biggest giveaways is the bracelet behind the bezel is more of a circle vs the real which would be more of a square shaped. That's the most obvious, but once you start looking at it you'll find more differences... Hey it fools the average sorority girl though ;)

So I joined the 7,007 club this week!

After sitting on the fence for too long and missing the original release, I jumped when an unworn one popped up with WatchFinder London.

This is the second watch I got from them and would recommend. First was the Skyfall AT.

Very pleased and looking forward to using this beauty! :o

    Hart,
    Your question/post is confusing.
Kadd has bought a SM300 not an AT.

Are you thinking about buying a SM300 (not limited edition)?
If so, you can wear it on either the steel strap or a NATO strap.
Or are you really thinking of buying an AT - Skyfall or SPECTRE worn model. Or perhaps the limited edition Bond AT (not worn in the film).

Of all those, I think the (not limited edition) SM300 on an Omega NATO strap would represent the best value and give you the iconic style.

    Good luck.

Just to add, I have the le aqua terra, and an old annual calender aqua terra, the new bracelets on the aqua terra are fantastic, I love the le version but would probably go for the sf version if I was you and source a new version bracelet.

I'd go for the SF AT too. That's the one that will be the more iconic as it's seen and worn throughout the whole film apart from the PTS. Plus the dial colour was specifically made for DC in that film. Also a short production run so it may be more sought after in future.

Well I'm shocked, I knew there were fakes all over the place, the odd one on eBay etc but I assumed you would have to actively seek them out, but a friend of mine pointed me in the direction of Gumtree, telling me there's a watch you might like at a really fair price so off I go to look and I find the omega smp 300 in amongst dozens of UK based fakes including this monstrosity!

    Screenshot_20161125_182147.png
THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE QUID??? It's not even a fake of any real watch, honestly call me naive but I never really look or buy watches from anywhere other than my trusted suppliers who I've used many times so I was simply not expecting to see these.
I have put an offer in on the smp though which seems above board, I will pay using an escrow service, as the watch looks OK to me but you never can be sure until you've seen them in the flesh.

Hi Hart008, Omega does make the new AT in 38mm as well, it's just not easy to find on their website but I have seen it at several ADs as well.

    Just opening the debate...
Do you think LE models will appreciate less than standard versions?

I think different models will appreciate differently, there are so many le's the bond le aqua terra is already losing money, the SM300 is holding its own, the sa models seem more desirable but early Brosnan smp's can be found very cheaply.

What he said. I think the one that will appreciate greatly in future years will be the SPECTRE SM300. It already commands a premium less than a year after it sold out. I don't think I've seen one go for less than the RRP, even used.

Well Antiquorum just sold an Omega PO LE (quantum of solace) for USD 7'500...VAT comes on the top of that.
The serial number was 5007/5007, but it doesn't explain the premium.

I agree with what was said about the SM300.

IMHO, the true value ranges between USD4'000 and 4'500.
