I'm curious, because I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on one myself - if you had to pick only the 300M or Aqua Terra for dress attire, which one would you pick?

For wear with a suit I would definitely say the AT (and my Bond SMP) as I have PO's for other attire (though these can bridge between formal and informal mainly my PO 2500's saving 8500's for casual). My SPECTRE 300 stays permenantly on its NATO and I never wear a NATO with a suit it's a me thing (probably a military perspective as I see them as for field use).
Good luck both are great watches!

The 300M had long been my dream watch, but now that it's time to buy I can't shake the feeling that it's look has just been around for so long, and it's been so copied over the years, that the AT might be the better bet, and that's what I'm leaning towards... -{ :007)
I agree, it's my favourite model of the smp, I prefer it over the ceramic. The 2500 works well in this watch, and the bracelet IMHO is one of the most comfortable of any watch, though the new aqua terra bracelet is really very good. Like me Bond44 you have both so one would you pick if you could only have one watch? Out of the smp and at.

Of the two the SMP is the most versatile for sure (I have the 90's 1120 version but prefer the 2500 one more) and it was my first Omega so always has a place in my heart.
For a dressier watch the AT gets my vote.

I'd agree, when donning a suit I normally reach for one of my at's or deville . But if I'm away for the weekend where I will be dressing both casually, smart casually and in a suit I go for the 300 smp or SM300 coax.
I do have a 300 coax on the NATO strap and a PO on a rubber strap, so I'm trying to make up my mind on that last piece - a stainless dress watch.
On one hand the AT has a very modern, clean look to it, that I don't feel has been endless copied, but on the other hand the SMP is just so... as Bond44 said... timeless.
I must admit I have this pic on my phone of someone wearing both and about once a week I take it out to see how I feel about it today
I have the "newer" SMP with the ceramic bezel. To me it is the perfect "in between" watch. It is, due to the bracelet and clean look, dressy enough to wear with a suit and casual enough to wear on the weekend. However, my SMP is the watch I wear 90% of the time. When you have both the 300 and the PO an AT might be the best option for you.
Peppermill is right, an aqua terra would compliment your collection best, and you will eventually buy the smp as well as its in your head and will always be a returning itch you'll scratch one day
I wouldn't worry about how copied any particular watch is, as long as you know what you have is right that's what counts.
Of course you could always do what we do in the watch collecting world. Buy one and if you don't like it sell or trade and get the other. Of course both being connected to Bond my money is on you ending up with both!!

I apologize for disagreeing with some of the previous posters.
Imo, buying a certain watch 'just because Bond wore it' or 'because it is part of an outfit' is not enough reason to spend a shitload of money on a watch.
Ask yourself, which watch you like better and go for it.
I personally don't like the AT and would not buy it just for a collector's sake

Whichever this fella is
Personally I'd go for the smp as it crosses from formal to casual effortlessly. Where as the aqua terra is a dressier watch.
