You. Monster?
The only design aspect that I don't like on Monsters (weirdly, not the orange dial) is the bezel. It makes the watch look a bit...cheap in my opinion.
Speaking of bezels, have any of the big watch manufacturers (Rolex, Omega, Breitling, IWC, so on and so forth) ever made a lumed bezel insert?

Some origina military spec omega sm300's
The first official preview photos of the SM300 master coax also showed lume on the bezel and all blue lume on the hands, Pearl etc
Though this never transpired in the production model which had no lume on the bezel and the more functional green lume on minute hand and pearl.
Vintage sm300's
I've never dived with a watch with orange features yet, but I know the colours fade very quickly, omega are claiming that blue turns khaki green at depth and stays legible? I've always dived with a monochrome watch, in the last ten years a planet ocean on a nato strap. Ive played in the water with my Spectre SM300 but that is no use as a diving watch.
Also some Speedmasters have lume on the bezel notably the dark side of the moon.
Hublot: I know the brand from times when they where MDM and their main model was the Hublot.
Imo the brand is recently over-hyped and there are many more interesting brands in their range.
Same goes with Tag- though I can respect some of their recent models.
And I am a big fan of JC Biver! Since 30 years, when I've met him first.

Makes sense as last year Germany was only 7th in the top ten of Swiss watch buyers.
Which rank where the UK (minus London where the watch buyers are rarely Brits ) )?
5th, Italy 6th, China were top with US second. In general though Swiss watch exports are really struggling. Hong Kongs imports are down 32% in 2 years.
I'm curious, because I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on one myself - if you had to pick only the 300M or Aqua Terra for dress attire, which one would you pick?
Go for the AT. You won't be disappointed. I don't wear mine too often, but when I do, it never disappoints.

Well, it is cheap. But it does have its own distinct look instead of most watches in that price category that just try to look like more famous and more expensive watches.
@Peppermill, I mean that they could've done better with the design but like you said, it certainly looks unique.
The green colour combo reminds me of the Air King for some odd reason.
The golf edition has been around for quite a while, right? It is in the 2013 catalogue.
Dunno ?:) maybe it's just the natos they are plugging then? I still don't get a watch called a Seamaster aqua terra with a dial based on boat decking being a golf watch? Unless that's the terra bit!
Strangely cool..
(Or maybe chilly...)
But love the UNCLE connotation B-)
Here's my £25 Casio which aimed to hit my 80s/Octopussy/UNCLE need in one go....
It may be the Roger in me, but that actually looks pretty cool. Better than the fake gold abominations that you see many people wearing these days.
Very cheap for such a great homage.
If I were to buy something from OP, it would be that beautiful Meisterstuck pen. I have some poison pen letters that need to be written.
My gold Moonraker Parker is filling that gap up, though. @Ian, a happy selection, if I may say but I'd never heard of Certina before.
The more you know .

Higgins, real talk. What do you think about TAGs (not the original Heuers) and Hublot?
Also, check post #2853.

To be honest, one reason I liked it was that the world map on the face reminded me of The Man from UNCLE!

I quite like the look of this one in the Tank range...
...but I make a point of always spending more on my car than my watch - and my car is pretty cheap.
I'd really love a Certina Certiday, especially the model worn by Ed Bishop in the 1969/70 TV show UFO
Other models of Certina be had for pretty reasonable money - I think I'll start saving.
That still looks pretty nice after all these years.
