ITV Bond Is Back

Bond is back to the small screen for the masses. I used to love watching Brosnan and Craig on Friday and Saturday nights and Moore and Connery on Sunday Afternoons. Hopefully there include Lazenby and Dalton more often.

This is fantastic news. I won't be watching QOS as i already have it on DVD but there are certain others that i look forward to watching as i haven't seen them in ages.

Quite right! ITV's presentation of the Bonds has always been terrible. Better to stick to the DVDs: No adverts, uncut & in proper widescreen. ITV's redundant as far as I'm concerned.

I can still remember most of the adverts from the versions I taped from the TV when I was little.

That's the really annoying aspect of broadcasting them on television. I suppose they are pros and cons to owning the films on dvd and watching them on broadcast television

Just settled down to watch QOS, only 25 minutes in and we're on the second ad break. Seems ITV
Is going to fill it with bloody breaks. X-(

I'm planning watching it tonight. I hoped a ad break every 30mins which is fine however two in 25 mins will be annoying. Pays for the rights to show the films I suppose.

I imagine LTK will be butchered to hell because of the content. If that's the case, why don't they move the showing to after the watershed.

:)) I just reach for the boxset.

It's good to see bond return to free tv, but if you hate the ads that much or dislike the family friendly editing then bung the DVD on instead. Bit obvious ain't it?

Oh no! I thought Sky did a good job with the Bond films and I'd often watch the films if I caught them on one of the movie channels or better yet the Sky Movies 007 channel when it appeared.

I flat out refuse to watch a film if it is interrupted by adverts or worse, the news. It may be nostalgic to look back on times gone-by watching Bond on ITV but they do a horrendously disrespectful job of broadcasting them. Thank god for Blu Rays/DVDs.

It's a shame the BBC didn't get the Bonds.

An early Connery was shown on the BBC once as part of a best of British season. I remember thinking how odd it was to see it on TV without adverts.

Do you remember when ITV was showing the Bonds in Order of Release back in 1999/2000 and repeated during 2001/2002 every Night on a Monday or Wednesday ? For some Reason they stopped after The Living Daylights (I was only Eight when the 00 Heaven Season started on ITV :s )

Random Thought, but has Channel 4 ever Broadcasted any of the Films?
