Moving to Edinburgh

Hello fellow Bond fans. It seems I will have to change my login name soon from Mr Osato to Kincade, since I will move from Tokyo to Edinburgh.
I have visited Edinburgh a few times for business, and it is a nice city from a glance, although of course very different from Tokyo. Any residents from edinburgh here on the board that could share inside tips on the city? Where is the best place to live for example? My work will be at the Scottish borders, so I already calculated 1 hour travel time.
Any other advices on restaurants, sight seeing, etcetera are more than welcome. Thanks in advance!

There's a nice little B&B called Skyfall, not too far away I understand, though Ihear it's currently closed for renovation.
