WTB Tom Ford Cardigan Size 48

A bit of a long shot, once again, but does anybody want to free up some early Christmas cash, and has a TF Cardigan in Black, size 48, by any chance?

Cheers, in advance,

Blair

If you are after a new one then have you tried Tom Ford Milan (myself and Don P got ours direct from there earlier in the year)

    Cheers

How different is the new one, also does the London store stock it? I've noticed there is a blue not black as requested on eBay.

I got a new one to replace my old one (bought used) and they were identical. Just make sure they have the correct buttons as they did change them a few years back but they are now back to the SA ones.

Not sure if London stocks it.

I may contact Milan to see if they have any in stock. Was really hoping that someone might want to give up theirs. Kind of feeling a bit low on funds after my recent purchase!

I believe you can also order one from NYC as well...but to be honest, I don't think you will find one under retail value...then again look how lucky you have been lately!

This is one item you might want new, I had one in great condition but the bobbles and fluff annoyed me (even after spending hour of taking them off). Flogged it and bought a new one!

Now if only they did some bloody more Harringtons lol

I will say that the cardi was my entry point into the world of TF...I remember reeling from the cost but years later it is my go-to sweater and a bit of an iconic piece in itself...as the owner of MANY "close enufs" I can honestly say there is nothing like the genuine article...

Yup. Okay. Mind made up. I'll just have to ease up on the mulled wine and egg nog this Christmas to give my one remaining kidney a chance...

I finally gave in to temptation and picked up a black size 48, whilst in TF's Sloane St. London store, today.
I have to echo Dave's sentiments above - there's nothing quite like the genuine article; it really is the nicest shawl collar cardigan.
Wish I'd bought it a few years ago, as it cost a couple of hundred quid more than when I last looked at it!

That's lovely, I have a appointment on Friday at the London shop. I believe they have ordered me one in, as well as going for my overcoat fitting.

Thanks all -{ Yep - The original buttons are a must.

I had a sizing session for a MTM version of the Skyfall overcoat as well.....now an 8 week wait for the (hopefully) finished article. :D

Oh very nice, I am looking forward to my fitting session as I have never been to the store before.

Just out of curiosity who was your point of contact at the store, as I have a appointment with Jack?

    Good luck with the fitting...

If you're hoping for a skyfall version, take lots of pictures and compare them at every stage of the fitting.

Do not expect them to have any clue what the skyfall coat looks like, and don't assume it has a "name" that instantly guarantees a perfect likeness..

When you get your "finished" article, there are bound to be adjustments.

Don't forget to write down everything that is planned as alterations, and I'd suggest taking pics before.

Oh and check the length of arms, the state of the lining in the wrist sockets, and the shape of the shoulder stock.

Then, depending on your religion, goto to the nearest church and pray.

Nadgers! Andrea was going to hold that one for me! No worries, though, as Emanuele has another in Milan that can be shipped over. Hope that you enjoy your new acquisition, Tim. Just in time for Christmas. I agree, with everyone, that you can't beat a brand new one.

    Hi
I bought the overcoat, when it was sent I was told it was black but it almost appears to be a dark dark navy, how much was the mtm version
    Thanks

Blair - If I'd known they were holding it for you, I wouldn't have taken it my friend. I got the impression when I asked if they had any in stock, that it was a standard item that they had a few of.
Tell you what, I'll swap you for the Harrington.... :p
Seriously though, hope you get one without too much agro.

Ross - made to measure for the coat is £2790. Made to order is £2560

Hey, Tim, no harm, no fowl! Very happy for you. Must have been a simple miscommunication at TF. My contact's been away for a couple of days.
