Goldfinger vs. The Spy Who Loved Me vs. The World Is Not Enough vs. Skyfall.

Me:

#1 Goldfinger. Iconic stuff, Connery totally into the role, firing on all thrusters.

#2 The World Is Not Enough. Broz dark yet vulnerable. Imperfect film, but strangely compelling in places.

#3 Skyfall. Dark & serious, yet full of OTT villainy hijinks.

#4 The Spy Who Loved Me. Big, loud fun with Roger relaxed & ready to roll with it.
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

    Same for me
1, Goldfinger. Lots of fun and the bench mark for the rest of the series for years.
2, Skyfall, IMHO a return to form, a good mix of action and humor.
3, TSWLM, My first big screen Bond. So I have a soft spot for it.

3rd time around was pure excellence for both Sean and Roger. Goldfinger and TSWLM are the two best films in the series.

Skyfall is an embarrassment. I don't even want to talk about it.
    My current 10 favorite:

    1. GE 2. MR 3. OP 4. TMWTGG 5. TSWLM 6. TND 7. TWINE 8.DN 9. GF 10. AVTAK

Played just a teensy tiny bit more seriously & with a Barry score, it would have easily landed higher than SF for me. But as it is, SF is just more 'grown up'. :))
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

It's basically Roger Moore's YOLT with everthing thrown into the movie. :))

Agreed, as bad as Skyfall was, it's still no where near TSWLM.

    Where's TWINE?

    Anyway, for me:

    1 - LALD, 2 - AVTAK, 3 - LTK, 4 - OP, 5 - NTTD, 6 - FYEO, 7 - SF, 8 - DN, 9 - DAF, 10 - TSWLM, 11 - OHMSS, 12 - TMWTGG, 13 - GE, 14 - MR, 15 - TLD, 16 - YOLT, 17 - GF, 18 - DAD, 19 - TWINE, 20 - SP, 21 - TND, 22 - FRWL, 23 - TB, 24 - CR, 25 - QOS

    1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby

I'd put TWINE in number 4 spot on my list, a great performance from
Brosnan but I like the others more. :)

TWINE is a great Bond film but not an alltime classic like GF and TSWLM.

    TWINE
    GF
    SF
    TSWLM

Golfinger's great, but I really enjoy Brosnan's performance and the more intimate plot of TWINE.

Yeah, I could easily have flipped their sequence above; love 'em both almost equally.

It's the silliest of the four, but it's also the next to last time we see a production of that scope, and Moore really is in good form. That puts it ahead of The World is Not Enough for me, which could have stopped after the pre-titles sequence.

    1. TWINE - Outstanding entry; and Brosnan's best film IMO
    2. TSWLM - It helps that I have a soft spot for this one; it was my first Bond at the cinema
    3. SF - Not bad, but IMO it's rather overrated
    4. GF - Same as SF, I think it's overrated (Haven't seen it in a long time, but I suspect I wouldn't change my mind)

    1.) SF
    2.) TSWLM

These two are very close. Both in my top 5 currently. It really depends on the mood I'm in as to which I would prefer.

    3.) GF - Classic Bond.
4.) TWINE - One of my least favorite Bond's but the nostalgia factor gives me a lot of positive associations with it still.

Man, do yourself a favour & revisit it soon. Cheap rear projection shots aside, it's such a cool 60's time capsule as well as pretty solid story.

For me, it was a story with more holes than a piece of Swiss cheese. But . . . hey! To each his or her own.

Holes it has. But for MY money, SF holds the record for the deepest & most numerous holes in a Bond movie. :))
