I love Bond, both written and cinematic. Fleming's books present a wonderful slice of Britain and the world in the 1950s and 1960s...but let's get real here, they're not real! If the only flaw a bunch of researchers can find in Bond stories is that he smokes and drinks too much, then those researchers should get out a bit more often! Shhhh...it's fiction!

Well, these subject matters were brought up in NSNA and DAD ) ; perhaps in Bond 24 Mallory's M will give Bond a good dressing down on these unsatisfactory habits, and Bond will see the error of ways and change (Yeah right!).
