Did anyone watch a Bond over the holidays ?

I watched on Christmas morning OHMSS, my favourite Bond film, and was wondering
if any other members made a point if watching a favourite Bond film over Christmas
and if there was a specific reason for it. Either because it reminds you of Christmas,
or friends or family who'd watched it with you, or maybe another go at trying to like
a Bond you're not too fond of. :D

Found a good channel which had a marathon of them and watched them chronologically from Thunderball to The Spy Who Loved Me. Further plans to watch more (I think Moonraker onwards was planned) was quashed by an ice storm taking out power to practically 1/3 of the province. (You've probably heard about this.) We had to stay at a family friends' house until Christmas Day. I managed to get a couple of DVDs from home and watched Quantum on a portable DVD player. I also planned to watch Tomorrow Never Dies as well, but the power came back on. I wound up watching Skyfall as my dad got it for one of his Christmas gifts. Very great movies to enjoy with :)

I think TP was quoting Algernon the armourer in NSNA, Strangeways. In that film, Bond doesn't reply by banging on about what a lot of work he's been doing that year (albeit because he hadn't done much work until that point, just gone to a health farm... :D )

    An, yes of course.
Apologies, the irony was indeed lost on me!

Happy New Year you too SW! Tipping down with drizzle here, you are in the right place (though the cricket banter must be getting to you...)

Watched pts of QoS which I do think rocks, imo the best action scene of the Craig era, indeed of last 20 years. However... the song, it's not even that it is so bad, it is the production that made my ears bleed. Awful, like a demo or the dodgiest MP3 downloaded off YouTube. I had to switch over.

You are so right about that song. It just seems so.......Unpolished? Incomplete? Badly mixed? Something is wrong!

Like Nap said, it's not that the song is so bad, but whoever put together that mix is one who needs some ear cleaning!
