Hi resident gun experts, I watched DCs Casino Royal the other day and in the very end scene ,where Bond shoots his foe
from his yacht, now I was wondering is that possible from that distance using a heavily silenced H&KMP ,my limited knowledge
of all things that go bang, says a weapon fitted with a sonic suppressor ,will decrease its MV and accuracy ? please enlighten me :)
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

He didn't shoot him from the yacht, the shot was short distance and came from the front of the house somewhere. I assume Bond was using the house or bushes as cover whilst taking the shot. So accuracy would be adequate from a short range like that.

I agree with Asp9mm - I'm not sure where the idea about the yacht came from but based on the timing from the shot to the conversation on the house steps JB must have been close by.

I've always been a bit confused by this scene, the shot appears to come from in front of Mr White, but bond comes out of the shadows and walks down the house's steps behind him. :s

Just my opinion but I got the impression the shots came from the side of the house
then Bond walked round to Mr White,

Actually, Bond comes up along side Mr. White. Mr. White crawled to the steps, Bond comes up from behind and goes up a couple of steps. Bond could've been anywhere though. I think that's what they want people to think, Bond could be lurking anywhere, you can't see him, but he can see you.

Funny that some people disappear from the board for months and only one weapon thread with a request for a certain "expert" opinion, they crawl out of their cave.

Not that he has any expertise thing to say about anything though 8-)

Shut your beak Bondtots. If it wasn't for those dumb watch and silly-egg posts you keep making, we'd have a load more members.

Bond walks UP the steps behind him. Which he would after shooting him from the side of the house and then walking around. Remember Mr White has crawled across his driveway to the front of the house as he attempts to climb the steps to get into his house for safety.
