eBay woes!!

Righty thats it - I'm NEVER buying used sunglasses on fleabay ever again, dont care if they are mint!!!
I already have the Tom Ford QoS blue Sunglasses however always taken a liking to the silver lens version. The other day a pair appeared on eBay for £150 BIN. Have enough pairs of sunglasses but these were listed as (EXACT QUOTE)
Now it was the "good as new" quote which made my ears perk up and cautiously I dropped the seller a line to confirm if any scratches, his EXACT QUOTE
OK so they had a small scratch identified with a magnifying glass, I can live with that for the price.
Anyhow they turned up with multiple scratches (some the entire length of the lens) however not only scratches the lens coating has started to smear off right in the centre of one lens. All visible instantly etc.
Then I do the table test (oh god)
Ive dropped the seller a line with my concerns and he now states he listed them as "Used" I said I fully understand and thats fair enough however the description "they have been worn once or twice but they are as good as new" is ridiculous. I would label these 5/10 being generous and was expecting a 9/10. The nose pads are covered in grime and dirt and are brown instead of transparent, which is a sign of tons of use and sun!!!
Anyhow am I a fussy sod expecting too much? I always expect the worse but these are pretty bad. This is the second time I've bought sunglasses bent, hammered and in so called minty condition - never again!!
Not the end of the world £ wise but now I've got to ponder what to do, I'm sending some pics to him later but the lens are a nightmare to photograph. He seemed a genuine ok pleasant bloke and went out of his way to send them to me here but these are far from "good as new"
I always try to be honest when selling stuff condition wise otherwise would feel guilty as hell.
Oh well another day...

"If I look with a magnifying glass there is a small scratch on the corner of the left lens but it's so small it didn't get picked up in the photographs. You also cannot tell from wearing them"

Now I can't afford £150 for sunglasses in the first place...and if I were to spend that amount, I'd want them as he advertised...of course he seemed a pleasant enough chap...you were giving him £150 !
I hope you get your money back.

On the whole I've had a good experience and found many cool items that are hard to come by.
However, it's not the bargain finder it once used to be and everyone seems to be out for as much profit as possible.
What really grits my crap though is;
A) sellers overseas flatly refusing to ship internationally.
I just don't get why when I've offered generous amounts to ship internationally, sellers still refuse to. My last request got met not with a polite no, but with me being accused of acting like a child :S I guess my interest got misconstrued as pestering?
C) poor communication skills in messages. "Sold. Sorry.", "no", "as description" and other lovely notes are what I've received to politely written messages to sellers. Dear Sir/Madam I always start, and usually end with 'thanks for your time' etc so that when the person reads it, it actually sounds polite, concise and as if I was there in person. Even when I put my enquiries into bullet points the seller invariably omits to reply to all my questions which is equally annoying. What's worse is no reply at all. Do you want to sell your item?!
