Of course I absolutely appreciate your earlier points about the early "Made in England" claims etc. and like you I find paying another £15-20,000 for a snippet of old cloth something for others to worry about or enjoy... and actually to afford LOL. Those gimmicks or customisations are certainly not my style.

If you like the aviation Theme, check IWC, Zenith and others - if you want to diffrentiate slightly from the car-dealers (80% of them are still wearing fakes in my experience) - get a Sea Dweller 4000 or a GMT.
Omega is still a very good alternative to Rolex, though I don't really like that blue AT in SF.
But you won't get my blessings for buying a Bremont

Personally I feel Omega messed up on the PO 8500 (Too Big & Clunky).
I agree, I tried one on and I felt it sat far too high on my wrist, also the lugs seemed oddly straight. The whole thing just looked ugly when it was actually on me.
I went for a Breitling Superocean 42 instead, which fit perfectly. Whilst not keen on it initially, I am coming round to the thought of an AT (not the horrible and gaudy Bond edition) but the regular grey dial one.
Now they have unveiled that awful SPECTRE tie-in AT, I reckon he will use an AT heavily in the film. Also either the PO or the new 300 master.
It rather cheeses me off that because of "product placement" he now uses two different watches for each film (with the exception of QoS I think). Just pick one and stick with it...

It's an all-rounder and can be adequately worn skiing down a mountain, diving off a reef, and in the casino later the same evening. I don't think Bond would swap around his watches.

Now assuming he's not changed it since he crashed in the plane. In that scene it looked a fairly large watch. A NATO wouldn't make it look that big. Curveball, new PO on rubber. Has been seen before. That picture is just too blurry. If anyone has the ability to enhance photos try that?
