Having owned both sizes, the proportions of the 38.5mm work much better and make a more attractive watch, IMO. Those with large wrists should try on both, to see which they prefer, though.

Bonjour, my first post! Hello all. (I normally lurk on here as a guest as I've never had a need to post before).
Anyway... as I can't afford the real deal I plucked for the Orient Black Mako Dive watch a year or so ago.
I've just went and ordered the Phoenix NATO strap for my watch but only have a slight concern.
Maybe I'm being too picky here, but the lug head on my Orient seems to be a tiny bit shorter in length and thicker in width than the lugs in the Omega(s) that have been posted on this thread, I'm wondering that when the new strap is applied, that it just won't "look right" if you get where I'm coming from? Maybe it'd be better attached to the Rotary?
I guess I can only wait and see for myself when the strap arrives, but was really just questioning if anyone else has a similar watch to mine and who have applied the NATO strap and what they think of it?
Boh..I just noticed my two watches are different times as well..
It was funny - I went to the store and the saleswoman was going on about the watch and how it's going to be in the newest Bond film, etc etc. They definitely know about the watch being in the movie and use it as a selling point - the second question she asked me was, "do you like James Bond movies?". But I had to educate her when she said Bond would wear the black nato band, and I showed her the screen shots of the striped band...
That being said - yes they make you purchase the nato strap separately. But I couldn't resist...
From reading around on AJB it appears other members have had good experiences with WatchFinder AND they are supposedly open to negotiation on their listed prices.
Absolutely unbelievable that someone has bought one and then offloaded it. Can't understand how these are ending up on the secondary market so soon, the loss for the original buyer must be ridiculous. And that's the second SM300 listed this week! There is a Titanium version still on offer there as well.

Yeah, I was there on Tuesday at their store in the Royal Exchange in Bank, where I sold my SF AT. The guys there are really nice and even took time to show me one Omega watch with Snoopy in one of the subdials. It was a great experience and the gent I was dealing with told me about the SM300 Master Coaxial that they were getting in. It was strange because I was looking on their site for weeks to see if one would pop up but alas, I already made the purchase from elsewhere.

It certainly looks like the nicest watch of all Craig movies, but to me it still does not match the classy "blue wave" Seamaster worn by Brosnan. One of the reasons it looks so good, of course, is the NATO-style strap which, in turn, is much better colour than Connery's Rolex strap (and it fits so much better! ) ).
I have been umming and ahhing about getting a Connery strap but I just don't like the colours on it.
I have the black and grey NATO strap on my watch and I have to say, it really is quite impressive.
When I look at my peers (uneducated and sartorially challenged lot that they are) with their "designer" watches and gimmicky straps I think how understated and classy the NATO strap suddenly becomes. It combines an element of style with an undertone of adventure.
And to wear a NATO strap with an Omega or Rolex just stands you above the crowd.

I just bought the seamaster 300 master coaxial. It should be with me in about a week but I'm seriously considering selling my SF AT.
I'm sellinng my SF AT in general and as for the nato straps, I bought the all black and black and gray versions. I am ready.
