Batman Forever Vs. Diamonds Are Forever

These two films couldn't be anymore different but they have a similar sounding title (BATMAN FOREVER AND DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER) and they were something of a franchise reinvention. They both made each franchise more silly and eventually the silliness would be taken too far. And Bond would have to dial it back a bit.
But Batman couldn't do that. They couldn't have a fifth entry in Burton and Schumacher franchise, were everything was suddenly dialled back a bit. No, they had to make us wait eight lousy years for Christopher Nolan to renew/reinvigorate the franchise with Batman Begins.

Are you talking about Tim Burton's Batman and Batman Returns?
How do you feel about Christopher Nolan's one-off "Batman" trilogy?
He also showed how imax could be used for action films. How about you ?
I like Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. But The Dark Knight Rises is okay I guess, I don't really care for Anne Hathaway as Catwoman though.
I thought it would never work, but as with many things I was wrong. for me
at least she made a brilliant Catwoman.
Even Silva owes something to " The Joker " as his plan on getting caught by Bond
is very similar to the Dark Knight story.

His mother Dana later married Cubby Broccoli and they had a daughter, Barbara.
As as avid fan of the Batman comics from 1939 to 1979 I am actually pretty disappointed with all the Batman films, especially the Christopher Nolan trilogy. Batman Begins is a pack of lies and uses a bogus origin story. People are fooled into thinking it's the gritty "real" Batman, but it's just modern garbage with no roots or ties with the classic Batman mythology.
If you want to discover the true Batman origins try reading: The Origin of Batman 1948 and The First Batman 1956.
My alltime favorite Batman stories are: Ghost of the Killer Skies 1970, Half an Evil 1971 and No Hope in Crime Alley 1976

series of Batman films ?
There is an old episode of Batman on the double video of Ghostbusters 1 & 2.
Second, Nolan is a great film-maker, but he shouldn't be allowed near Superman or Batman movies.

To me,
Connery = Bruce Timm's animated Batman
Lazenby = Kilmer
Moore = West
Dalton = Keaton
Brosnan = Clooney
Craig = Bale

" It was so bad it even managed to tarnish the other Films !"
I also like Batman Begins, with the exception of Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes the casting is perfect, great music and cinematography, and a good storyline with a credible villian in Raw Al Guhl. Even if Bruce's loss of his parents has become stale from overuse already. - Unfortunately the second and third films in the trilogy are too long and too clever for their own good. Heath Ledger's originality as the Joker, - both scary and disgusting, is matched by Anne Hathaway's funny and sexy turn as Catwoman in part 3. Otherwise the films try too hard to be dramatic, moody and impressive, and the increased scale and scope damages the credability of the world carefully created in Begins. Also casting the same people in similar positions to Inception was a mistake. Ruins the suspence of the third film completely if you saw Inception first.
DAF has poor writing, a potted structure and a weak baddie due to bad casting. However, it was Connery's official swan song. The fact the man can utter the line "I'm with ACME polution inspection. We are clearing up the world and thought we'd start here!" raises a smile rather than a groan says it all. Its not great, but it has its enjoyable moments. Def better than Batmans worst, by a long chalk.
Speaking of which, Barman has a great supporting role in The Lego Movie! That has to count for something too! :-)
