  Read it back in the day when I had to have everything about lit Bond as quickly as possible. (Not much has changed. Lessons not learned).
  
  Usual Benson not very literate love-in with his hybrid Brosnan-Bond.
  
  Bond gets involved in some shenanigans with Playmates and a blackmailed rock star at the Playboy mansion.
  
  Got Benson an invite to the Playboy mansion too. Whether Playmates were involved, I do not know.
  
  No worse than most continuation nonsense, however.

  Thanks for that - I'm surprised that there isn't an e-book collection of the three short stories he did ??

  Yes, it would be a nice way to collect them. I believe the "extended" BLAST FROM THE PAST appears in his UNION TRILOGY anthology book and the other two in his second omnibus.
  
  But I agree, the three together would e nice. There is, of court, his unpublished HEART of ESULIE (sp?) short story too.
  
  On the basis of the crap that has followed, Benson should feel relatively content with his work. After all, he wrote it.

  An unpublished short story - didn't know that, thanks. I will try to find the others. I'm not going to buy the 'trilogy' book as I've read them already
