Prefer Craig to have gone after SKYFALL, but I'd certainly like him gone after the next.
I know the films take a lot of work and years prep. BUT all those houses, the Aston Martin's, the Tom Ford kit, etc, the jet set lifestyle (even the publicity he's supposed to hate, honest) cost £££££s. And when no one else will employ you to make a movie 'cos your own track record at the box office is a bucket of piss, the Bond gig can be a reassuring comfort blankie. And a cracking pension. Beats working for a living, too.
And will satisfy/fool a lot of people and make a shedload. But so do a lot of films.
Of course there are those of us who weren't "fooled" at all, but still think Skyfall is a terrific Bond film. Not the best, in my opinion, but a very solid addition to the franchise. If the next film is as good or better, I'll be a very happy fan.

How does one get 'fooled' into enjoying a film? ?:)
Brainwashing? Drugs in the water? Aliens transmitting mind control beams? Who knows? All I know is I like what I like, including Skyfall, and I'm able to figure that out on my own. :007)
I must say David Schofield makes some good points. Having not thought of it before, yes you are right, perhaps it's time for DC to hang up his trunks. Who would replace him though? Are there any British (yes he's got to be British) actors who could take his place?
!
Chuck two candidates at you.
If you want "phwoar, cracking physique (so keeping BB's interest) AND he can act (see RUSH) but is younger than DC and, erm, might make cinematography easier in other ways" I offer Chris Hemsworth*.
If you want 'anti-Craig' - a new James Bond interpretation, more Fleming, less naval gazing, wee bit less OTT action - its got to be Benedict Cumberbatch.
* why not Henry Cavill? Well acting's not his strength, is it?
Given the length of time between movies, Now! 8-)
I Doubt any actor will be making too many before
Moving on. ) only my guess with nothing to back
It up with But I'd go with after this one, DC doing
One more and then leaving. -{
I'd guess that's how it will go - one more than Brozzer, at least.

Me: I saw Skyfall. It's a very good movie, but maybe um...
Him: Maybe, what?
Me: I mean, maybe.. Just maybe. It's a teeny teeny teeny bit overrated.
Him: What...?
Me: Just a little bit. It's still a very good movie and I enjoyed it.
Him: Overrated?!?
Me: But it's still a very good movie.. it's just... uh...
Him: How dare you come and try to ruin my movie!
Me: I'm not... I'm not!
Him: Just because you think its a bad movie doesn't mean I can't enjoy it.
Me: I never said it was bad!!!
Him: Whatever.
The only conversation I usually have in the cinema goes like this.
" If you don't put that phone away, I'm gonna shove it up your a*se !"
So I then put MY, phone away.

Welcome, A_C. I vividly remember bringing my very specific Bondian opinions to this site when I joined. It's a heady group of minds here---a great intellectual playground.

Maybe SF is the modern Thunderball, in that it made a fortune at
The box office but is not regarded by many as the best ?
Although I feel really proud that once again a Bond is the most
Successful British film ever made. {[]

At the same time, there are lots of just-as-great films out there that don't as much praise.
