Goldfinger 50th Celebration

Well, we are closely approaching the time when the film Goldfinger was released at the cinema 50 years ago (it is 50 years this month that the famous golf match was filmed at Stoke Poges). Some of us may be young enough to remember going to the cinema and watching the film first time round. I certainly can remember my dad taking me as a special treat to see it and since that day I have been a Bond fan. Even now my dad is bemused by my obsession with all things Bond, but as I tell him it’s his fault he started it. :D

So I thought it would post some Goldfinger ephemera for AJB members young and old to enjoy and may have never seen before.

It would also be a nice touch if other AJB members contribute items or even memories of anything Goldfinger. -{

    Damn that makes me feel old. I started my Bond addiction by seeing Dr. No...at the theatre first time round.

    And now for something completely different. A wonderful 50 year old staged press photo of BMT216A pulling in for "a quick one on route" at his local BP filling station...Over riders, revolving number plates and a bullet proof shield...You're joking! -{

    Wonderful pics. Thank you so much for sharing. For many of us in the USA,. GF was the first Bond film we saw, as, I believe it was the first one shown on TV, badly edited, of course.
    Here's my homage at Stoke Poges in 2008.
    Cheers, Tom
