"Game of Thrones" actors might be good Bond characters

Hello ajb007 folks, been away on CIA leave for a long while, back here on the boards. Hope you are all well. Any Game of Thrones fans round these parts? I'm a big fan of the show and I was thinking that some cast members would be excellent in James Bond films. If I were to send them back in time as the people they are right now, here are a few fun fantasy casting director moves I would like to see.

Charles Dance/Tywin Lannister as Dr. No or Blofeld. I think Dance has the age, authority, sort of a wise wizardly villain, very eloquent. Could totally see him as Dr. No. Think about him saying: "Mr. Bond you are a stupid policeman...." or Blofeld--Dance would sound great even if you don't see him--petting that cat. And when he's finally revealed in You Only Live Twice it would be mighty impressive. Thought Donald Pleasance was a little too mad scientist for Blofeld--not as refined and cultured and strategic big thinker as he should be, though The Donald did a decent, good job with the role.

Peter Dinklage/Tyrion Lannister as Knick Knack in Man with the Golden Gun. I think he'd be superb and way better than Fantasy Island, "Bosssss....the plaaannne" Herve V???? -- controllled, smarter, deadlier, and would be the cultivated English butler/henchman to bad guy Christopher Lee. They'd play well against each other.

Rose Leslie/Ygritte the wildling woman warrior or Gwen Christie/Brienne of Tarth as Rosa Klebb. Rose Leslie would be a young athletic Rosa who's kinda hot in a woman warrior way and if she pulled off a cold war Russian acting job, she'd be memorable. Gwen is a large gal and she would bring size and menace, also simple practical intelligence--on Thrones she seems to want to go in a straight line to the mission objective. Usually a clear cold thinker.

These were 3 that came to mind. Quick once over--Michelle Farley/Lady Stark as Moneypenny. She and Roger Moore would be good together. Emilia Clarke/Danerys and Lena Heady/Cersei Lannister could play any number of Bond girls, good or bad. Emilia seems more a good girl and Lena definitely a bad girl. Nikolaj Coster Waldau/Jamie Lannister would be good Felix Leiter material--hey, that's me and other board guys.

Just a few ideas. Let's get creative ajb007 nation, more casting ideas needed.....

Adios amigos, Felix The Leiter Cat. B-)

    Joffrey as a vile villain?
Definitely Danerys/Clarke as a goodie, maybe a heel turn on Bond and betrays him. She is an excellent actress.
The Hound as a henchman baddie, but everyone will cheer for him, like Oddjob or Jaws.
That Prince from Dorne (cant think of his name) would be an excellent villain ala Skyfall.
Agree with Tywin/Dance ...he actually played Ian Fleming in the '80's in a made for tv movie, I recall.
Jorah Mormont as Q, so he can just state the obvious, like he does in GOT.

Joffey has to be the most vile villain EVER!

...and in a reunion: how about Dame Diana returning tot he Bond franchise, and George Lazenby reunited with Rigg on GOT?
I think it would be an over the top moment for Bond fans worldwide.
    No garlic this time, George....

Also, the chap who plays Danerys' love interest, a new actor in the role, should make a move on Kalissi, have her reject him, and then look at the camera and say "This never happened tot he other feller..."

Grand Hotel Budapest is full of Bondisms...
    Cheers,

    Hello Mr. Gumbold who wrote,

That is hilarious. I'll toss a few carrots into the stew you cooked up. It would be good to have him make a move and then a few nasty Lannister spies jump him and her and he has to make quick work of them with sword, knife, throwing dirt into their faces to blind them first. This guy fights dirty, remember the knife to the horse's head!!! Then of course he could go back to Dany, who is mightily impressed, and say, "Ahem...now where were we?" Roll theme music, credits -- very funny idea you got there.

I think Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) could become a great Bond girls fro the next Bond, but she 18 now and far too young for Craig.

Hello #24, Well Sophie/Sansa could certainly use a break and a hook up w/Mr. Craig on screen would be a vast improvement over her various mostly violent deranged or weird scheming suitors, fiances, husbands on Thrones. Poor girl can't catch a break.

But what about Sophie as Solitaire in Live and Let Die?? Yes, the virgin high priestess fortune teller who is seduced by Bond? Imagine that Sansa beautiful but high strung and nervous look as Roger Moore/Craig says the line, "You do believe in the cards?" Think about her in that crazy Inca/Egyptian gold helmet and cape Solitaire wears when she reads the cards.

That's a hot scene as I think about it. Sophie might even bear a resemblance to the ravishing Jane Seymour. Here's to UK Bond action girls past and present.
