SOLO paperback by William Boyd in shops

BleuvilleBleuville Posts: 384MI6 Agent
Last Thursday 8th May the paperback version of SOLO by William Boyd was published.
Full price is £7.99 but I got it for £4 in ASDA supermarket.

In the back there are advert pages for the 14 Fleming Bond books with pictures of the latest
Vintage covers. (the graphic titles versions.)

I will use it as an everyday reading copy, and store the hardback versions.

Bleuville.

I saw it in ASDA last weekend...I hadn't realised it had been released in paperback...and certainly not the exact date...

Last week I asked in Waterstones bookshop and they confirmed the 8th when it would be on sale.

Unlike the hardbacks there's no red page edge version in Waterstones-it's the same as everywhere else!

Just saw this is the most recent thread and I don't want to go grave digging too far back.

Bought this book way back and just started reading it at university now. Honestly, I'm thoroughly impressed so far. Would love to discuss what I've read with others who have read it so far. :)

Also, is there a list anywhere here or on the web with a complete list of all of the Bond novels ever written (including Fleming's)?

Wikipedia has a good listing of the novels and short stories, it seems pretty accurate though it doesn't include the "Moneypenny Diaries". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Bond_novels

Yes, I'm reading them through Bond's time line
Fleming's novels, then Col Sun, the two Christopher Wood
Books, Spy & Moonraker, then the Gardner/Benson Books.
Ending with Carte Blanche, which has Bond in the Modern world.
By then the New Book from Horowitz should be out .
Then I'm done and shall begin my own " Magnum Opus " ;)

So how old would Bond be in Carte Blanche? About 37.
    And in Moonraker? About 37.
And in Colonel Sun? About 37.
