Happy Easter! Though I tend to regard it as 'You can eat your choccy egg' day too!

Two "Captain Janeway Coffee Junkie" tankards it is!

Two smoking tankards are placed on the bar. One rumbles ominously, the other whistles like a kettle.
TB2 gives Barbel an ink dropper bottle.

Barbel you take the rumbling one, you are used to this. No whistling in two minutes, add three drops. Only three mind!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Hell. This will put hairs on my chest! Choccy egg sounds good, Mrs coop and I were out on the town last night trying out a couple of new bars and enjoying some live music so a chocolate egg and a bond film will suit me fine today.

Hi! The weather outside is great. I feel like an "utepils" or as you might call it: drink outside.
A Coke Zero, please. With ice. :D

The Swansea game was excessivly depressing. I need to drown my sorrows. Do you have Early Times? It tastes like Grandpa smelled.

I like my bourbon but had never heard of Early Times before. Ill look out for it.

I usually go for JD, JB or Wild Turkey ... depends whats on offer at the supermarket :))

(Sighs) M'Lady, a bit like my namesake, I can only carry so much in one go!
What should I bring to the table? And don't say the drinks trolley Ma'am. :s

It is a good option if you only have a fiver in your pocket. I am partial to it because it is so bad. Any bar should keep it on the bottom shelf next to the rat traps... Not that this nice establishment would have rats.
I've always wanted to have Christmas in Turkey

Just discovered "Old Fashioned"s a couple of months ago. Somehow they'd eluded me earlier in life. Lovely drink and now I always have some angostura bitters and bourbon at home just in case I have "the urge'.

Don't bet on it ... always thought the chicken in a basket here was a bit suspect :))

(I've made myself feel sick eating copious amounts of cheese straws and drinking red wine whilst watching 'Line of Duty' :s )

I think this is the right place to find the answer to a question I asked on another thread: is SPECTRE (the scene outside the meteorite room) the first time James Bond has declined the offer of a drink?
  • ThunderpussyThunderpussy Behind you !Posts: 63,792MI6 Agent
To be fair, he didn't decline, merely postponed the event. ;)

Yes, but I still think it's an historic event.
  • ThunderpussyThunderpussy Behind you !Posts: 63,792MI6 Agent
Agreed ! Imagine Bond on the wagon ! :D

Bond on the Wagon? Not likely! (Puts away a tray of clean glasses.)
Where 007 is concerned even the Wagon ends in the drink! Just ask The Boatus or the somewhat underwhelming ing DB10!

Mind you, does the refusal of the health smoothie in SP, and Tea in MKR count?

I think bond declined the drinks purely as precaution against the drinks being spiked with a poison. He declines in a suspicious manner to my eyes and ears.
It was either that.....or the priesthood
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,348MI6 Agent
He walks into the enemy camp, gives up his gun while surounded by well-armed henchmen and THEN worries about the drink being spiked?
    I don't know .....
  • ThunderpussyThunderpussy Behind you !Posts: 63,792MI6 Agent
I think Bond just wanted to spoil Blofeld's little
    Moment ?
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,348MI6 Agent
That's a better suggestion. Later he says to Madeleine: "I think we're meant to be impressed".
Bond also shoots down Blofeld's monologue about the meteorite. Blofeld must have played that moment in his head countless times, so it makes sense for Bond to destroy it for him.

PUSSY!! Can you please move those biosamples out of the fridge? I have just completed a fresh batch of soup. The Strawberry Moouse is almost ready too. (Overexcited caterwauling). No Holly, Moouse, no mouse!

Talking of tea (I know I was) I'll put the kettle on. Personally I was disappointed with the meteorite / ring / all linked flannel. Mendes seems hell bent on drawing attention to the weak points of the film as strengths!
Lea Sedoux was amazing though. Right up there with Eva Green in my book. Dr Swann is very much a high point.

    Who wants cucumber sandwiches?

Lea Seydoux is great, but her character wasn't as good as Eva Green's. A cold Coke Zero, please :)
