I'm watching DAD for the first time in ages. As a Bond fan I see it as my duty....
Yesterday I saw the first episode of the history series you reccomend. Very good!
Earlier today I watched AVTAK , with all the discussion
About it on another thread. I'll be watching a lot of Bond.
As I'm on two weeks holiday from work. Although my wife
Has given me a list of decorating jobs to do ..... and wasn't
Impressed when I pointed out that when she has time off.
I don't give her a list of things to do
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
I just remembered that I forgot to call home the "plastic goat", so now I have to go outside with a flashlight and do it.
There are a few highlights in DAD, such as Halle Barry with the sound off (she has some really bad lines) and the Ice palace is a grandiose and glamorous set in the Bond tradition.
Still can't understand what went wrong with Halle. She is
A good actor, but some how, either script or direction
Failed !
The Ice Palace is magnificent, and harks back to the
Wonderful K Adam sets. -{

As I've retired from the professional side of photography and am back just having fun with it
again. I thought I post this link to my flickr account. Sadly this is mainly wedding images but there
are many of the local landscape , many in HDR which I know is not to everyone's taste . My wife
absolutely hates it, but if anyone wants a look, please feel free. I don't really use this anymore but
hope to start again.

Watched DAD as well. As usual I can't see anything wrong with it except 11 seconds of bad CGI that sadly has stuck in peoples minds.
The film has everything and a lot of it already pointed in the direction EON would take with CR.
The PTS and everything up to the hospital stay with M talk is as "Craig" gritty and dark as it gets.
Cuba is as Connery as it gets. Halle is perfect and quite frankly some of the dialogue in CR with Vesper and Bond is as "cringe worthy".
DAD is the perfect entertainment Bond and the end fight on the plane is as epic as any disaster movie. I can see nothing as exciting since. Not even in SP.
"a lot of it [DAD] is already pointing in the direction EON would take in CR" ?:) ?:) ?:)
I don't think I'll comment any further at this point.
And TP: I've never seen it done, but I think welding (autocorrect wanted me to write "wedding". Did autocorrect do something simmular to you?)a chainsaw requires a lot of practice.
Of course there is. Watch M and Bond's interaction. Compare the dialogue.
Watch Frost and Bond's repartee. Watch Vesper and Bond's afterwards.
Watch Bond in Havana, watch him in the Ocean Club.
Bond being tortured and then returning to MI6.
The PTS of DAD an SF. And the list goes on. Even when talking bad CGI.
I am surprised how blind people want to be only not having to face that the current era isn't as innovative as they want it believed to be.
no great skill required Number24 like learning an instrument, or welding a chainsaw. It
simply takes practice, ........... I'm still practicing. )
Too modest, TP. I'd never be able to take pictures as well as you do no matter how much I practiced. And re musical instruments: I've been playing guitar for over 40 years, and Eric Clapton hasn't lost any sleep worrying!
Never tried welding a chainsaw, though... or wielding one for that matter.
Comments
Pop in a Bond film. It always helps.
-Casino Royale, Ian Fleming
You are 17 posts old on this forum and think you can provoke me... ) ) ) maybe on the other place but not here pal.
The usual, A. R. S. E.
Of seven up. Or should I say double '0' seven up.
