(TB2 returns to the bar, settles, and looks up from his laptop and notebooks again.)

Back everyone - Did the Thunderbirds Thread surface, hover, and then sink again?
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

After much extra work to cover colleagues holidays, I at last have four days off {[]
So I'll be feasting like there's no tomorrow, and hopefully a little sexual debauchery too ! :D

Now we can only joke about politics:

Trump shouldn't have said "sh1t-hole countries". The correct term is "turd-world countries".

When I first posted this joke the censorship-program changed "s**t-hole countries" to "One Direction-hole countries". True story! :))

I know! I understand "Short lived" threads have a very short life expectancy, so I expect the mistake was, well, short lived.

For God’s sake, let us sit upon the ground
    And tell sad stories of the death of short lived threads;
How some have been deposed; some slain in war,
Some haunted by the ghosts they have deposed. :(

The rumors of the death of the politics thread are highly exaggerated.

(Places pint of Coke Zero on the bar. Looks peeved)

Manners make all the difference! And I have said before, firearms are not permitted in the pub!
(Goes back to laptop, shaking head and muttering.)

I'm sorry, sir. I don't know what came over me. I just felt an uncontrollable urge to get me Coke Zero and I was willingly to do any thing to do so. I can quit whenever I like...... I just don't want to. :))

Been watching lots of Scandi dramas on Netflix lately: Sweden, Denmark, Iceland...even bloody Norway (just kidding, N24). All superb. Good story lines, well acted, very realistic. Not exactly barrel of laughs - although there were a few lighter moments - but really, really good programmes. Of course, constantly reading subtitles gets a little tiring and you have to concentrate more than usual when watching the telly, but well worth it. And my vocabulary of Scandi words is improving immensely. I can now say Thanks in five languages, which reminds me...

    A gin and tonic please...

    Tak!

If you want to laugh with a Scandinavian accent I can reccomend "Lillehammer" and "Norsemen". the latter is even filmed in both Norwegian and English.
    A Coke Zero takk :)

Next week our Dutch members will teach us basic Dutch:
"Sir, where is the nearest coffee shop?"
    "Rembrant was a hack!"
"What is the name of the highest mountain in the country?" :p :))

Just finished watching the first season of Lillehammer thanks to your recommendation, N24. Really, really enjoyed it. Genuinely funny and unpredictable and strangely enough, there's even a "feel-good" factor. Can't wait to watch the rest of it.

A Coke-Zero for my Norwegian friend, please!

I just finished Nesbø's Macbeth. Verious famous authors are asked to write their version of Shakespears works, and Nesbø chose "The Scottish play".
I enjoyed it, but it's not one of his best.

Tbh I struggled at first, the English translation has quite a few errors that make you re read a sentence multiple times slowed me down, that and being very busy. But I'm enjoying now.

Strange, with such a popular author.

Is it true that Berlin's great wall was actually built in China?
