On a happy note, I have yet another birthday on Monday, which I'm celebrating by working a ten-hour shift in a stiflingly hot, non-air conditioned library (my desk is under a glass dome!).
My partner, however, has just told me she's booked us on a mystery tour this weekend - a coach journey to adventure awaits.
It's foggy and rainy. What's new, you ask? This year, that's unusual!
It's shocking (in a good way) how fantastic the weather has been this spring and (so far) summer.

I've just come back from Spain and it's warmer here.
I don't mind really hot weather per se ... I just hate it in the UK !!!
We are not equipped for it and its impossible to do anything.
I have been in Dubai in August and it was fine. Spain I never have an issue.
I had a 3 hour drive the other day and I was looking forward to it, just so I could sit in an air conditioned car !!!
