The other night, on the mountain across from us I noticed a large fire spreading across,
My first thought was, Not more trouble for the emergency services !

If a tree falls in the forest and no-one posts a picture of it on Snapchat, did it really happen?
  • ThunderpussyThunderpussy Behind you !Posts: 63,792MI6 Agent
Speaking of pictures, I watched an interesting clip on YouTube about Kodak. They
made a big mistake in their business. They expected people to continue to want
photos printed, so invested a fortune in Printing technology, when it turned out.
Most people email etc images to each other, or to various imaging sites. Very few
Photos are actually printed these days.

I do enjoy walking in forests, especially when it's windy. You can hear the Trees,
    creaking in the wind.

Me too. There's a 180-190 years old road nearby and it's a very atmospheric walk.

I can't hear them for the sound of my knees....

Thunderpussy please come talk some bollocks about Dr Who: Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 AD over in the Last Film Seen thread.
I know nothing about this Dr Who oddity and wish to learn!

I have posted what little I know about this Peter Cushing film {[] also watched
on YouTube Parts: The Clonus Horror, sadly a Theatre 3000 send up, but I can
see why the makers of this 1979 cheap movie sued The Island 2005, as they've
the same idea. Clones being used to supply spare parts.

People are posting photos online where they emulate famous paintings. You know, to pass the time. I don't think I can contribute, but wouldn't it be great if members here in AJB sent photos where they try to emulate Bond posters and scenes? :D

It's weird, but no one's come within 6 feet of me for weeks now. Do I smell or something?

    This is my post number 15 000 :D :007)
I'm so happy I joined AJB back in 2005. I had decided to join an internet forum and I'm a movie fan. Film is a too general topic and I liked Bond movies so I picked AJB at random among the online Bond forums. The reason I'm still here is all the fun I've had here, all the things I've learned, all the pashion and above all all the great people I meet here. Thanks evderyone!

I've just posted a new story in the "Real stories from the world of espionage" thread titled "Operation Musketoon - commandoes by the polar circle". It's a little known sabotage mission and an exciting part of history I think :)

I wonder if many of us going through Lockdown are growing beards ? As I only leave the house
Once a day to walk the dog, I've given up shaving ( I still shower etc, I'm not a total slob ) ;)

Still shaving every other night, but definitely not getting a haircut for a few more weeks (or months).
    Getting rather shaggy over here.

Even if I didn't usually go to the cheapest barbers in the most densely populated part of town, letting a stranger close enough to cut my hair is a huge violation of the 2m rule.

But I do have a set of clippers, I might try to give myself a short-back-n-sides, somehow looking in the mirror ... if this quarantine goes on long enough no-ones going to notice how sloppy my new haircut is anyway right?
