Yes, they're all out of toilet paper now. I haven't forgotten the first wave! :D

I was just informed US airlines have decided to stop allowing passengers from bringing "emotional support animals" on flights. The reason is the passengers didn't just bring cats and hamsters to support their emotions, but also pigs, horses and peacocks!
    Americans, please don't change :D :) :D

Most of these people would be equally happy with a " Emotional Support Parachute " ;)

On a different subject, as I've been a very good boy this year. I've treated
myself to a HD projector and screen so I'm hoping to soon be watching
    Bond on a 100 inch screen. :)

My projector arrived a day early, so I'm
Using the wall of My man cave to watch
A bit of Bond. Although even on a rough
Plastered wall YOLT looks great at 120".
Now I'll have to paint the wall black when
The screen arrives, as it's too bright .

Don't pretend you're watching YOLT ... you've bought it to watch Muppets Christmas Carol. :D

    :))
To quote Sir Sean in Diamonds ..
    " I think there's something in the pipeline "
..... About a Christmas Carol, and I do
Have an usherettes uniform I've been
    Itching to try. :D

The great thing about modern projectors is
That you can attach your Google Chromecast
and Firestick via HDMI. Although so far best
Results come from the Blu-ray player.

I've had my personal laptop permanently HDMI'd to my teevee since this quarantine began. I don't watch cable, don't want to go out shopping for new DVDs, and there's so much free content on youtube, dailymotion, archive.org etc, and a lot of it scales up perfectly.
Only thing is, if I don't have the teevee on, I have to remember to disconnect to get sound on my laptop.

One of my schoolchums has had a projector for nearly twenty years. We often had movie nights at his house with large-ish crowds and popcorn and fine beverages (pre-quarantine). We even had movie night out on his lawn once when I brought my copy of Goldfinger on a warm summer night. Strangers in the street joined us to watch the finest motion picture ever made, and all cuz he had a projector!

Can I introduce you to a Christmas cocktail that our housekeeper makes for us:

40ml Gin (we use Bombay Sapphire)
    15ml Fresh lemon juice
    20ml Pear syrup

The pear syrup is made by mixing sugar, fresh pears, Chardonnay wine and cardamom seeds and heating gently to form a syrup and strain.

Mix together with ice and shake not stir :D

It’s really nice so if TB2 can arrange the drinks are on me!
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

Your Christmases must be very different from mine :D
  • ThunderpussyThunderpussy Behind you !Posts: 63,792MI6 Agent
Your cocktail sounds fantastic CoolHandBond, have you given it a name ?
For Me, I'll stick to the traditional bottle of meths in the subway shouting
    at passers-by ;)

For me Christmas means Baileys .. just with ice. :x

I like the sound of that cocktail. I love anything that is pear flavoured.

As for Bailey's, I do like it but for some reason can only drink it at Christmas. It's also really nice in coffee. I've bought a bottle gingerbread latte fake Baileys from Tesco. I'm going to try that in my coffee later.

I just want to say it was horrid and I ended up throwing the metre bottle away. I'm going to stick to the real thing in future.

Yes, other brands are usually not very good, although I can recommend the salted caramel and mocha flavour liqueurs from Lyme Bay Wineries. Unfortunately, they are not available over here :#

All serving of alcohol will stop from Wednesday to early January in Germany because of the corona pandemic. Let's all have a minute of silence in sympathy with Higgins.
Oh, and all schools and most businesses will be closed too.

It’s been raining here so I’ve been updating the cataloguing of my collection and thought TB2 would like to see some of Thunderbirds sweet cigarette cards from 1968.

There are 50 cards to the set and I have them all. Also found a UFO set which I will post later.
    I’ll have a large Bailey’s over ice, please :)

I saw these in the other place and found them very appropriate. I "borrowed" most of them to leave them here by the entrance :D
