Yes, another Coke Zero sounds great. Isn't it nice to meet up here after a completely uneventful week?

    It most certainly is!

    Cheers! 🍻

Ice cold San Mig Lite, please. Philippines style, frosted glass, with ice.

Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

Just coffee for me, thanks. Still waking up.

Ice cold San Mig Light Cool Digits,

I don't disaprove of light or non alcoholic drinks. (Have enjoyed my fair share) but proper spelling is a must.

As to going out morphing into bedtime, I rarely have that problem. My lunchtime nap gives me a power boost! 😁

The usual for you Barbel - Captain Janeway Caffine Junkie extra strong. I... where is it?

(An angry hissing tankard 'hops' along the bar. It stops near Barbel, gives off a high pitched whistle, and settles down while Holly watches it from the end bar stool.)

    Ah, there it is!

Thanks, TB2. Speaking of Captain Janeway, I'm currently working my way through Next Gen (about halfway through Season 5) and am thinking about buying Voyager next. I've seen them all before, but am enjoying revisiting old favourites.

Can't say I blame you Barbel.

Except for the two animated series Lower Decks and Prodigy, the modern stuff is crap!

TNG may be over well 35 years old now, but it hasxsome damed good writing. DS9 is Excellent, and Voyager is a lot of fun in spite of continuity woes. Its TOS, TNG era style. Mulgrew is nothing less than brilliant as the Captain.

Forgive me, TB2, the lack of a higher education (playing poker, football and chasing girls were the main pursuits at my school) and an ageing brain are my only excuses. 🤣

Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

My impression is that CHB's mind hasn't matured at all since his school-days. 😁

    You’d be right, N24 😂

    You and me alike, CHB.

    Oh my memory is terrible!

Since I hit Forty, its been like a Goldfish. Since 42, my social filter went, and good riddence to it too! Though I do miss the Bowl of Petunias.

    Who wants another drink?

(A Lioness pads into the bar, and looks enquiringly at TB2.)

Miss Holly is in the beer garden Pagoda Ms Mgee-Mem, The Esso Tiger has excused himself tonight.

(The lioness wonders out the back)

Its the annual media big cat reunion get together tonight. It was Holly's turn to host.

The Esso Tiger was the big cat in Octopussy. 😁

    Petunias? Oh no, not again.

  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,331MI6 Agent

Social filter? Is it something to do with the air condition?

    The usual, please.

  • Thunderbird 2Thunderbird 2 East of Cardiff, Wales.Posts: 2,816MI6 Agent

Social Filter - the voice in a persons head that stops them saying exactly what they are thinking! (Evil cackle!)

    Here You go, Coke Zero.

    Barbel? Well quoted! 😉

Of course, but do you know where your towel is?

  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,331MI6 Agent

Barbel is a man who really knows where his towel is. Or to be precise, Bride of Barbel knows where his towel is.

  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,331MI6 Agent

And I'm telling you, Slartibartfast is genius!

  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 37,856Chief of Staff

Those lovely fjords he made must appeal to you.

  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,331MI6 Agent

I think it's his masterpiece. The detail is amazing!

If anyone thinks we've lost our minds, then I can't comment on that. But please do yourself a favor and read this:

Then read the next three novels in the trilogy. 😁

  • CoolHandBondCoolHandBond Mactan IslandPosts: 7,206MI6 Agent

I don’t need to read that to know you’ve lost your mind, N24 😁

Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

Well on a related note I like the Longboat in the Bottle. Looks very in character on the sideboard.

24 will you be supplying a fresh tree for 'Half Past December' this year? I am thinking ahead, since the Poison Ivy bush died during the summer.

    Freddie kept peeing on it.

Of course. It will be even better than the one intended for Trafalgar Square! 😄

    Excellent!

Don't forget we will need an indoor one as well for the Alcove corner near the Mods section. I especially love how you source trees which retain their roots so they can be replanted afterwards. A tree is for its lifespan, not just Christmas!

A.R.S.E? are you downloading approp festive project effect Apps?

(The A.R.S.E dispays a huge Christmas wreath on its message screen with a 👍🏻christmas tree logo in the centre. This morphs into a 👌🏼)

Jolly Good. C.H.E.E.K.S. I'll leave all the food prep and delivery hygine safeguards in your capable processors.

(C.H.E.E.K.S giggles playfully. TB2 blushes the colour of ripe tomatoes, and goes to clear a tray of Coke Zero branded glasses.)
