Just watched the first season. Superb. Really love the Victorian period and it's atmosphere.
Acting by Eva Green is phenomenal. Also Timothy Dalton shows some great acting skills. Makes me wonder whether I gave him the proper appreciation as 007.

Outstanding, especially Simon Russell Beale as Ferdinand Lyle. Great addition to the Scooby Gang.
The cast are sensational and I'm furious it has been snubbed by The Emmy's.
Cant wait for next season !!!
Also finished watching it the other night, and like you say outstanding, also think Billie Piper deserves a special mention for her acting especially in the latter episodes, when she finally got some clothes on ;% -{

There is going to be a new character in the next season, some indications are that it may Dr Jekyll.
So what did you guys think of the final season? I'm pretty sad but also bewildered because theres so many unresolved plotlines and places the story and characters could've went, 3 seasons didn't seem like sufficient enough time with them. I wish we got at least one more season out of John Logan.

Agree - think it could of done with one more season to wrap up properly. To be honest I did not see too much in the news about the 3rd season - not sure if this indicates it had perhaps ran its course and viewers dropped???
Im guessing it was quite a pricey series to make with an all star cast also.
Def a shame with all those classic characters gone to waste. A few of this seasons episodes were a bit dull for me though (the solo story kind of ones)
John Logan said that it was only going to be 3 seasons from the start, I believe him but I also think lower viewership, and as you said the price of such a great cast and sets may have made Showtime decide to pull the plug. In a way I feel like its Firefly, a great show with so much more potential then what we were left with.

Billie and Eva have no inhibitions when it comes to clothes or lack of, though Eva has been positively prudish this season

Me too - three episodes to go. That episode with the "cut-wife" early on was one of the best things I've seen for ages - brilliant TV. -{
