Didn't Connery box at one time? His bodybuilding days saw him lifting weights, and I know that he was possibly going to be a prop football (soccer) player, then a knee or something gave way. I recall him saying that a pro athlete's career was maybe 5 years back then, and acting he could do forever, so he chose acting. Thank God!
