Held a door open for BB and MGW, she thanked me ;% saw pierce's parking space, Anne Robinson's Audi estate, met Gerry Anderson in the bar, Halle Berry nearly tw@tted me in the face coming off stage and met Peter Lamont in the drawing office but he didn't seem to know where he was.
Saw DC wrestle gangsters while pete shat at the sound of m/c guns, walked straight past Berenice thinking she was an extra, but I got a smile (so I keep telling myself) and walked through the lodge, saw the underground stage being built, walked through silvers server hall and stood right on the spot where M died.
Fun times at pinewood, wish I'd done more in that game.
I met Big Rog once (he is big ) and remarked that we was once neighbours years ago in Stockwell
as I walked away I think he said to his assistant that he needed a new anchor ,he must have a boat or sumfing
)
Shook hands & said hello with George Lazenby when he asked me where the exit was in Westminster city hall. I never did tell him where the exit was. 8-)
Posted this in specific convention thread in Memorabilia section, but it fits here too:
Got to meet both Lazenby and Lana Wood at the Mid Atlantic Nostalgia Convention in Maryland.
Lazenby was great. He personalized his signature on my OHMSS original poster, with 007 inscribed. I asked him if Kevin McClory had approached him to do a Thunderball remake. He said once around 30 years ago, Kevin called him up and asked him to meet up. They met in a bar in Germany with McClory's then girlfriend present. Apparently they got upset at each other and McClory was pissed because he thought George was trying to steal his girlfriend. When I asked if he was trying to, he said "No, she was coming on to me!". Obviously, it was James Bond!
He then took pictures with both me and my friend.
Lana was a treat as well. Very friendly and recalled the shooting of DAF. She also personalized an autograph on a photo for me and took a picture with me.
I met Peter Lamont at the NEC a couple of years back and told him I was a director and the reason I got into filmmaking was Bond. He then took the time to watch my 007 inspired music video. Here: http://chrisstonefilms.com/portfoliorebel.html
I told him my abition in life since I was 12 when I saw Goldeneye on the big screen was direct the 30th Bond and he said 'I think you in with a good chance'. Honestly I felt on top of the world!
I also got to meet Guy Hamilton a year or so before I produced the music video and he gave me some great advice. "You need to set the tone of your Bond movie in the first two minutes."
This summer I met Gemma in London. Well I my 'Bondtactics' didn't work )
After asking for a picture, she was already gone. Well I got a picture so I guess it's something.
Don't confuse me with the other DutchBondFan, but be sure to follow his YouTube account. You can read my articles on James Bond Nederland: www.jamesbond.nl/author/gosse/
Meeting Yaphet Kotto today was great! He signed my LALD poster and I got a picture with him. His line was pretty long so I didn't get to talk as long as I did with Lazenby last month. However, I did go to his Q & A interview panel. I will upload it to youtube later tonight. He told some REALLY good stories, many of which have been heard by few given that this is the first time Kotto did a convention Q&A panel like this. For a preview he talks about encounters with Sidney Poitier and Lionel Richie, feeling like James Bond while making LALD, and influences from Katharine Hepburn.
Also met Corinne Clery from Moonraker. She has aged so gracefully, still beautiful. She spoke fondly of her time shooting MR in France. Will also post a few pics later. Both will be there tomorrow for anyone in the area.

That's MGW, well, he's gotta do something other than cameos right?
