I don't know which I find the most scary/ painful...?

Have been watching a few Bond Movies on DVD, Video(yes video cassette) and TV and I don't know which is most scary/ painful to watch, the Dr No Terantula Spider Scene, Goldfinger Lazer Scene or (Daniel Craig's) Casino Royale - yes that scene (we all know which one!?!?!)........

Dalton's cute puppy face when talking to Kara in the tent ("back end of horse") has my vote in the "most painful" department :D

Now that you reference it, Higgins, Dalton's face in the bottom picture looks a little like a clown without make-up there! :)) And I'm a Dalton fan! :))

One could probably find such images with any of the actors from the series. It's why all the actors save Moore (and perhaps even Brosnan), who played the character with a more serious intent through most of their films looked odd when trying to pull of a lighter, sillier mood. Moore and Brosnan were used to doing light comedy before the series and it was more natural for them.

Well, that's certainly true and it seems that when it comes to Bond it seems that getting the balance right in that particular area of humour versus seriousness is very difficult indeed, unless light comedy comes easily to them as in the case of Connery , Moore and Brosnan.

Well the cuddly eyes (top pic) are not only there in that moment - it's almost always there when he intereacts with Kara. So much for the hard - edged approach :D

    Fully agree.

Actually, the DN scene is not at all scary to me. Why? For one, you can clearly see the glass separating the spider from Connery. Two, tarantulas don't scare me. They aren't even lethal to humans (barring allergic reactions). And three, it would have been scarier with a centipede, as in the book. Centipedes are common here in Hawaii, and I have had one crawl on me while I was in bed. It was NOT a pleasant experience!

Brozza's delivery of "i trusted you Alec!" in GE is painful. He is brilliant at portraying Bond's hurt and confusion of why his best friend has turned traitor.

That was probably to do with 'audience perception' - not everyone would have understood that some centipedes can be lethal...but everyone (particularly back then) would have understood the fear factor attributed to a tarantula...

Also centipedes are notoriously difficult to work with. Their demands for no blue "M,n,M's"
a bigger winnebago than any other actor. Script changes and demands to have "Choice" of
    director. :D

I've seen one in the wild as well. I can bear a tarantula...but those "pedes" are just shiver inducing to me. This thing was about 7" and prehistoric looking.
