I have to say I agree with everything said below. No more CoD clones!

Nice article. Personally I envision a Bond game that would be a cross between Deus Ex: Human Revolution, a bit of the Batman: Arkham series of games and -- strictly speaking in terms of narrative -- Alpha Protocol.

Deus Ex worked because it allowed for various nonlethal gameplay options & variety, which was sorely lacking from basically all of the ActiVision Bond titles. I'd love to see more cutscenes, narrative gameplay and other RPG elements that could have a profound effect on the outcome. Which leads me to Alpha Protocol, a game which suffered in terms of its control scheme & overall engine but rocked a terrific storyline. Imagine a Bond game that would allow you to play different 007 archetypes, from suave, devil-may-care playboy (Moore) to brutal, cold, calculated soldier (Craig). That's a game I'd want to play.

I certainly hope that the next game is close to what you described. Out of the games that Activision gave us the only good ones IMHO are Goldeneye and Bloodstone.
