No no no, it's like this: DAD is a crazy comic book, and as such I have more sheer fun with it than CR (A great movie, btw), or SF (a dogey flick IMHO), but QOS has a fierceness in it not seen since LTK, so that wows me even more.
    Make any sense?

One day you will give MR another shot Chris. If you like DAD for those reasons, MR is very similar in that regard. Throw away all logic and enjoy the ride :D

And that transitions to my unpopular opinion, which isn't really an opinion, but MR is one of the most enjoyable Bond films for me.

I prefer the more serious Army Of Darkness.

Hahaha. I love all three, but yes EDII is probably my favorite :D

Another unpopular viewpoint, Rowan Atkinson is the best part of NSNA!

MR is way better than DAD. Comparing the two, there's one thing that stands out in MR: realism.

I get it. You found DAD to be more "enjoyable", though not necessarily better. The same way I feel about YOLT vs FRWL, for example. {[]

Here's one that I'd like to hear other views on:

To keep Bond contemporary, you sort of have to lose the familiar cinema elements that we have come to know and love. In an updated version of The Three Musketeers, they would not be using swords or riding horses. Similarly, Bond in the 21st Century has to leave 20th Century ways & means in the past. For example, the gadgets of the past are realities now (and in many cases even better ones came along), so to give him gadgets in present movies that surpass present technology by just a bit would make the movies seem entirely too science fiction-y IMO.
Basically, the Bond we grew up with is gone forever more, unless they want to go period piece.

Although, thinking about it, wasn't Skyfall all about Bond not being
Needed in the modern world, with all its drones and hi-tec equipment.
Yet by the end he proves that a field officer is still needed, even
    Today . :D

Yes, of course- I'm just saying that the Bond of our younger years is over. He was virtually done after LTK. Brosnan's was the transitional Bond, and now we have the 21st Century Bond firmly in place with tracking, constant contact to base, instant info, instant satelite imagry access, instant drone strike capability, etc....
