Roger Moore was a guest on Henry Kelly's BBC Radio Berkshire programme earlier today. Roger was speaking from his home in Switzerland. The main part of the conversation was about Louis Jourdan, who sadly passed away a few days ago. The programme is available on the BBC iPlayer for the next four weeks. The interview with Roger begins at 10 minutes.

Funny to hear that Sir Roger knows exactly from which line the 'he left with his tails between his legs' is even though it is not from one of his movies.

Absolutely, he just refuses to take the whole "making films" lark seriously and always seems gracious and very honoured to have played Bond.

I think he still realises to this day that he was extremely lucky to land such a plum role, and he has always remained grounded (unlike some).

Some people seem to knock him, and I hate that, because they have probably never bothered to find out what he is really like. One poster on the IMDb referred to his Bond films as "turds of the cinema", I thought this was horrible, how can someone be so nasty towards a guy doing his job? and doing it well as far as I am concerned.

he's a National Treasure he is...

It's a real shame that Sean Connery did not end up feeling this way, I think it just got the better of him in the end.

But it would be really nice for him to participate more in Bond stuff nowadays, his input and stories would be great I reckon.

It must be the strangest thing to be so at odds with the role that launched your career.

    Oh well...

I think it's more of a Case of Connery sick of being associated with Bond. As it's really the only Role he's mainly known for.

a review of Sir Roger's one man show, ( four out of Five stars) {[]

JAMES Bond legend Roger Moore entertained a packed house at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton last night.

The 86-year-old, who played 007 in multiple movies, was on fine form as he regaled the audience with tales of his career which has spanned more than seven decades.

I managed to get to see him in Manchester. (The Lowery)

Really good show! And very quick off the mark, when it came to question time.
