I think he was just stood there so that the stage was evenly balanced and the gap in the middle was for Menzies and Craig to stand.

I don't think both Seydoux and Bellucci are playing villans. In my opinion they placed the regular staff of MI6 on one side and the actors first apearing in SPECTRE on the other With Craig in the middle.

The trousers look like Acne and the shoes Crocket and Jones Black suede Moltons but the jumper?

Article below in which the watch and shoes are also identified, but not the shirt & trousers. Says the trousers are very similar to the shark grey ACNE Wall Street trousers worn in Skyfall.
