I have them all...and they are a good read, as long as you can 'go' with the premise....

Not too surprisingly, I agree with Sir Miles. I have really enjoyed the Young Bond series and appreciate Higson's Bond knowledge, and hope that things carry on in the same vein.
Higson would be a good choice as official Bond author.

I asked him about this when I met him...obviously he said he would love to but that IFP had 'something' planned and that he was taking a break from Young Bond (this was a few years ago)...he did say that YB would return - as it has/will...

Certainly agree with Barbel, and Sir Miles point about needing to go along with the premise in particular

Read them all on publication, and have Coles' book on order for Thursday week.

    Read, enjoy, become maddened, enjoy.

Then, forget what you've read and replace it with Pearson's altogether more mature, unpleasant and therefore Flemingly (?) believable version of the same time period (though ignoring the silly notion that JB had a brother ;) )

    That sounds like a good approach to me. :) -{

I'm not an expert on the process. Do you know when the title and plot details will be released?
And when it will appear on the bookshelves?

    Thought I repost this nugget,
    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/n (sadly no longer available)
A quick interview with Horowitz on his new book, in which he reveals .....
that the 30,000th word in his book was "mahogany"
    And
    the 50,000th was "Hawaii"  ;)

I wonder how many fans will count those words to see if he's made a
    Mistake ?

30,000th word "Bond put down the bottle of fake tan and admired his mahogany shade in the mirror of the West Bromwich Travelodge. 'Oh, how I miss the old days when I travelled the world and got a real tan,' he reflected as his pot noodle simmered on the bedside table.

50,000th word: "Having attended the Human Resources meeting, Bond boarded the Tube on his way home. He reached into his plastic bag, feeling beyond the leftover M&S salad cream sandwich from his lunch, and located the Hawaii 5-0 DVD box set that Tanner had lent him for the weekend."

Orion handled the Re-issues for the Gardner Novels. So I'm hoping that we will have some good Artwork for the Cover :)

Me too! The artwork for the recent novels has been pretty poor and uninspiring IMHO. The cover of the Young Bond Novel Shoot to Kill is shockingly bad :#
