*Spoiler Alert*
It wasn't long after I heard of the grand opening of Bond World at Piz Gloria that I started planning a trip to Switzerland.
Once in Interlaken I started seeing tons of adverts for Piz Gloria proudly featuring George's photo. I'm glad they decided to feature him instead of some generic 007 silhouette. In this country, George Lazenby IS James Bond.
Reasonably priced at only 38.50 chf in conjunction with my Swiss Pass compared to Jungfraujoch which was like 130 chf. It goes without saying that I had way more fun at Piz Gloria of course.
Being up there at Piz Gloria was just too cool. I began in the revolving restaurant and ordered the 007 burger. The wi-fi connection network was 007. There was 007 logo on the plates and windows. Next I wandered around outside soaking in the epic views and posing with the Bond cut-outs. Then headed down below for the Bond World exhibit. It was really well put-together, with helicopter simulator to land on Piz Gloria, a photo booth to morph your face with a Bond pose, a bob-sled ride that creates a rear-projection video of you, a first-person perspective simulator of the badguy that gets knocked off the cliff, and plenty of other OHMSS related items.
Yes, I purchased the photo of me morphed into 007 AND video of my bob-sled run. I also picked up an OHMSS t-shirt and some postcards.
I would highly recommend this trip to any Bond fan, especially if OHMSS ranks among your favorites.
I put together a couple photo collages for you wonderful people. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hopefully you'll be buried by an eternal glacier then
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Everyone who has been already there: You know how great it is! Do! It! Again!
Btw my wife swears that the Lasagne from the Lauerbrunnen campground is the best that she's ever had and I agree!

"You must give me the name of your oculist."
It's on my Bucket List. :007)
The views blocked by a coach load of Bond fans ! )
Next stop was Iceland where I took the 14 hour bus tour to the Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon where the PTS of A View to a Kill was filmed. It was kinda weird how the lagoon was right next to the highway and surrounded by flat desert landscape on both sides. It's still a very remote location way off the beaten path, but it's not just endless snow and icebergs as cleverly depicted in the film.
The amphibian boats were pretty cool. We drove right into the lagoon and floated around for about 30 minutes. I attached a few photos here:

I went there ages ago back in August 1986. Up Piz Gloria and the Jungfrau on the opposite side. (Also the Eiger for Clint Eastwood fans?!)
I have a Piz Gloria music box which doesn't play the Bond theme!
Also carrier bags and box of matches, and a pewter plate with Blofeld's coat of Arms.
Only trouble is Switzerland is "reassuringly expensive" like Stella Artois,
"but it's worth it" -like L'Oreal !
It's near to Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland in central Switzerland.
The city of Bern had the bear pit and the hotel where Bond photocopied Blofeld's letters.
Should I go a 2nd time to see Bond World and get more souvenirs?
There are webcams on the Swisspanorama site.
Bleuville.
"and how many hundred millions do you want for your services this time Blofeld?"
Sounds good. When I need a weeks holiday I've been thinking of Interlaken. how much are the trains to get there?
