I'm watching the old BBC sci-fi series from the late 70s "Blakes 7" and last night
caught the episode from series one "Duel". Which was a copy of the Star Trek
episode "Arena" ( The one with The Gorn, a big green lizard bloke ).

I'm now enjoying Marcella - and The Five. All compelling viewing.
I'm watching Marcella ... no idea what's going on though
Hoping it all comes together in the last episodes.
Also loving 'Peaky Blinders'.

Very sad to report that ABC has canceled Agent Carter, it was a really fun show and I was looking forward to a third season. Hopefully they wrap up the loose ends of the story in a comic book. Also if you are a Hayley Atwell fan, she has a new series called Conviction in development at ABC for the fall.
Bates Motel just finished its fourth season, with a finale that's absolutely brilliant--and creepy. I don't want to spoil anything for people who haven't seen it yet, but suffice it to say that the Norman Bates of Psycho has fully arrived. It will be interesting to see where the promised fifth season goes. . .
The only programme I make a point of watching is 'Gogglebox'. My wife got me into it. She had to nag me to sit & watch the thing but I'm now as into it as her.
I love Gogglebox !!
One of the highlights of my week.
Now I'm off to watch Peaky Blinders ... another show I struggle to follow )
I've tried to stick with Peaky Blinders but I'm afraid I've given up on it. It's style over substance as far as I'm concerned. I did read somewhere that the leading man was a Bond contender.
You sound like my husband!! He's losing interest very quickly.
It is a bit style over substance at the moment and 'Tommy' has taken to whispering everything which is annoying )
There are some terrific actors in it. The guy who plays 'Arthur' is brilliant and I'm a big Cillian Murphy fan but Bond he most definitely isn't. Helen McCory is also good value.
Talking of Helen McCory, I watched her hubby in the first episode of 'Billions' earlier. That has promise though I don't get the Damien Lewis hype and he isn't aging well. Another non Bond for me.
I've discovered a streaming service for old comedy shows, and have had some great
laughs with some old Dick ............... Emery shows. It brought back some great
memories, and I'd forgotten he used to show some outtakes at the end of the programme.
That must have been very forward thinking for the time.
Although many of the characters would be unacceptable today.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Watched "Nazis, the occult secrets" ( or something like that) on channel 5 last night.
Can't help thinking if it wasn't for WWII, they wouldn't have many programmes.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
That's why I use a streaming service , the other night as well as watching some
Dick Emery, I watched a couple of old Morcambe and Wise christmas specials
from the 70s. ( even an episode of The Goodies )
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
I think he's lucky in having a face that can look glamorous/handsome at times but can
change his look into some crazy deviant when needed.
Sadly I stuck with these Brad Pitt features !

This weekend the new Top Geqr team will visit Norway. Reports say they will visit "Atlanterhavsveien" (The Atlantic Sea road), a stretch of road I earlier suggested in the Locations thread:
Sadly no storm is forcasted this week, since that would be an awsome episode of TG!

That looks lovely ,do they get many car accidents there ?
No, car accidents are rare. I live in the same region, and I can't recall a single serious car accident there. My theory is that when a stretch of road is dramatic enough, people tend to be more alert when driving there. That was certainly the case back when the road in "my" fjord was narrow and with lots of sharp turns.
Just a reminder that the new BBC Top Gear series begins tonight at
20:00 bbc 2.
Nope shant be watching it ,I only ever watched it for the antics of the 3 presenters, sorry BEEB but I think you will come unstuck on this one
They've said they'll be happy with anything over 6 million viewers. Anything below that would be a disappointment. Heard that on BBC Radio Ulster on Friday past.

It's been commissioned for another 2 series. I don't think I'll be watching.

Quirky look about him. -{

I can never decide if he is handsome or not. He's certainly attractive and he does make a decent villain ... Batman and Red Eye two examples
change his look into some crazy deviant when needed.

For ages, I've thought Higgins was Jeremy Clarkson
