Though McClory was a pain in the rear and tried to milking his involvement in TB as much as possible, there are 2 or more stories about who has created SPECTRE.
Until his death, MCClory held the rights on SPECTRE so it's not as clear as you are trying to suggest.
Fleming, Whittingham and McClory wrote the screen treatment for TB, and Fleming used it to write TB novel without their permission. However, and I speculate, I believe the truly creative mind was Ian Fleming. Fleming was good with words and names, so I'd say he came up with both Blofeld and SPECTRE. McClory's credits after TB consisted of NSNA.
sorry, that's a load of rose-tinted glasses bull-crap
That's my opinion. As valid as yours, unless you were there with Fleming, Whittingham and McClory. That Fleming was the creative mind of that lot is not rose-tinted or bull. It's fact.
Some say that Fleming had writer's block just prior to TB, and in any case it was Whittingham who may have done a bit of work turning a bunch of motley gangsters into Spectre. I wouldn't say McClory had much genius about him, true, though tbf any guy could be a one-hit wonder.
Looks like whoever made this fan-made poster a few months back knew something we didn't up until this point. "A cryptic message from Bond's past." How incredible would it be to see an envelope like this in Bond's hands in the film?
OK, I'm now fully awake. I'm still not sold on the title--I was hoping for some sort of Flemingesque variation on a saying, or something like that--but the film has a fantastic cast, Mendes is back, and, yes, the teaser poster looks great. . .so, all in all, I'm a happy Hardyboy!
Fleming got lazy and cut corners when he published Thunderball. McClory sought legal remedies, just as I speculate most of us would have done in his position. Amazing how many people slag him off for that. Not saying he was anything close to a creative genius, but what recourse did he have really? Bow down to the will of Fleming and walk away? Yeah, sure thing.
The plot synopsis is: "A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE."
It's always been my belief that Bond 24 would involve the death of Bond's parents (murder, not accident).
So it appears that there's no Jeffrey Wright / Felix? ... a real pity IMO.
I would love for the big reveal to be that SPECTRE is a creation of CIA, NSA, and Goldman Sachs, with Felix as a Snowdenesque whistleblower teaming up with JB to expose it all.
Quantum will no doubt be one of the SPECTRE's departments, Counterintelligence, Terrorism, Revenge or Extortion.
Yes, keep your eye on Jesper Christiansen. If he's in it - then Quantum can morph into SPECTRE.

I'm very happy so far...love the teaser poster...great cast...I just hope Waltz isn't Blofeld, that would be too 'straight forward'...I hope Blofeld isn't revealed until the end of the film which then takes us into Bond25 -{
I have always been skeptical about the idea of bringing SPECTRE back, I've always said I'd prefer them to come up with new ideas. I will keep an open mind though, there is no doubt it could work
I am of the same mind. I don't really like the idea of rehashing old villains (including Blofeld), but I must admit that SPECTRE is a cool sounding title for a Bond film. I'm a big fan of the one word titles.

That's what I am hoping. Let him be Bond 25's baddie.

Who says that? Fleming wrote a novel a year from 1952 until the day he died. Doesn't sound like writer's block to me.
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

Besides this I can't see the 'speculating' part that you mention.

A couple of posts earlier. Is the above the claim you're disputing?

Thanks - seen it.

These I find questionable and I dispute the correctness of these claims.

They're not claims, they're speculations as said already! Might be right, might be wrong.
That's all I said
rose-tinted bull-crap - that was my opinion about these "speculations"
