If they did show Bond smoking, it would most likely push up the Films Rating.

So be it. I understand that Fleming had intended his novels to be adult adventures, after all. Nothing wrong with a 15+ rating as opposed to a 13+ rating.

little bond quips and moments, for example the cuff adjusting bit on the train in SF was good.

more barry theme moments, for me SF's soundtrack didn't sound at all bondian, it could have been from anything. that signauture tune needs to be heard more often.

gadgets, proper funky gadgets, with hints of andy smith and nick finlayson added in for good measure.

no space anything. no space walks, lasers, death rays or space stations. with star wars coming out just after bond, it'd be a MR car crash all over again.

Thunderbird Too. As one of the forums resident Trekkies (Nods Hello at Defiant) I agree. I love Moonraker for Drax and his Space Shuttle fleet, and in retrospect Icarus in DAD was a Bond baddie fav toy repeat if the DAF Evil Sat. But we don't need to go there again for 007. Even Orion is going to take decades the way things are going.

My Please and Thank You? Good memorable scenes for all the office staff. SF nearly achieved this giving good intros to the new faces. However Tanner still needs defining a bit better in my opinion.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

    1. Gunbarrel. AT THE BEGINNING. Smooth (not drippy) cartoon (not CGI) blood.

Abso-bloody-lutely. This is non-negotiable, as far a I'm concerned, along with the traditional fanfare to open the film.

This too. And I don't want any remixes of the original. I cannot stand electronic music. Just have the original Bond theme as it was meant to be, playing frequently throughout the film.

Yep. But fewer stunts. Bond is great at hand to hand combat and is a crack shot, but he hasn't been documented as having the ability to leap from crane to crane, nor from building to building. I want to see Bond at close quarters combat, but not implausible stunts.

The rest I can do without - even the Aston. I'd prefer a Bentley.

You do realize, of course, that there are people who actually can leap from crane to crane or building to building who are not superheroes? Just ask Sebastien Foucan and other practioners of Parkour.

Yes, but Bond spontaneously breaking out with Parkour-level chase skills is like having Thor drop his hammer & suddenly crochet a sweater- sure it's possible, but ya can't help but wonder "When TF did he learn to do THAT??" :))
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

Not far-fetched at all. I understand that Thor made Lady Sif a very lovely scarf for the holidays, thank you! :))

I would like to see Bond doing more stunts actually. He is suppose to be resourceful and a risk-taker. Let him jump off buildings and free-run.
I would also like to see the film end with Bond with a girl (Something Craig has not had yet). Lea Seydoux and Bond close the door and jump into bed. Roll Credits.
I also want an orchestral version of the title song appear. Either as a Romantic score such as AVTAK or action music like CR.

Wake up boy- this is the new millennia! Angst rules. No pleasure for Bond without a HUGE price tag. 8-)

    Poor Bond :(
I would be interested in a OHMSS Story. With Lea Seydoux being a Tracy character.

You say about angst. Well heroes change. Below is an example of why angst and Mendes work otherwise its a formulaic Bond again. Below is M at the meeting.

It's part of a much longer piece by Tennyson but in terms of its relevance to the movie a large part of what made Skyfall unique among Bond films is that it questioned the role of Bond and MI6 itself through the enquiry against M. As such she quotes this section of the poem to say that despite how the world has changed those who would seek to protect it are still committed to doing so despite time and circumstance weakening herself,Bond and MI6 overall. Hence "to strive,to seek and not to yield"
