Is 5 enough for Craig?

Before I start, Craig is fantastic as Bond, and I'm glad he's signed on for a fifth film after Spectre, but do you guys want to see a new Bond after Craig's fifth? Do you think he'll hang up the Walther after #5? I think he will. The franchise will continually need to spice things up, plus I think both himself and the producers will want him out after his fifth (despite the popularity he gained from the public after Skyfall). He'll go down as one of the better Bonds, but I think after Spectre and Bond 25, we'll be ready for him to go.

Daniel Craig will be 47 when Spectre comes out and 50 when the 5th film comes out (assuming it takes 3 years).

He'll probably be too old for a 6th, but we should see how these next two films come out before we judge.

I predict that there will be unresolved plot threads at the end of SPECTRE. I just don't see the producers resurrecting SPECTRE to make them a one-film adversary. Therefore I believe DC will be around for 25 to complete the story arc.

And then at the end of 25 Craig's Bond dies while saving the world from SPECTRE, and his partner - played by Idris Elba - kills Blofeld (Monica Bellucci) and is elevated to Double-O status. :)) :)) :)) :))

He could do seven if he wanted to, but at the scatterbrained pace that Eon makes them, he will probably have to stop at five.

It is possible Daniel Craig may call it quits after SPECTRE, even though he is contracted to do one more film. Four, five, six? The decision appears to be Craig's to make as Barbara Broccoli seems very keen to keep him on board for as long as possible. I think he will most likely call it quits after five.

I'd like him to do one more after five. If the film after Spectres profits are good then why not.Rog was 45 when he took it on and he lasted for seven.

Given the gap between movies these days, I'm guessing Five would
Probably be the limit for any actor, unless they get somebody really
    Young the next time. :))

I think the sheer " animal magnetism " and cruel looks of Justin would
Suit a Tarantino movie better, I'd love to see him threatening Samuel L
    Jackson. :))

I can really only see him doing SPECTRE then leaving, and if they don't wait 3 years, a fifth, but as others have noted DC isn't getting any younger, he'll be to old for the part to do a fifth probably.

Craig is 45. Rog was 49 when he made "Spy" his third Bond film of seven.Craig could easily keep going...

    Want another! :))

I agree. One of the themes/ issues in QS and Skyfall was getting old and no longer being needed. I do not see how they can keep that going for many more movies since everyone is just getting older.

In fact one of the reasons I'm so excited about spectre, is that it seems
    Bond is once again reborn and raring to go ! -{

Yes, and all one needs to do is take a look at AVTAK to see how well that worked out! No thanks! :))

Yes, so we should never try to surpass Roger's fine performance

He'll be too old after five. Make Spectre and 25 good, and he'll be one of my favourite bonds.

I've been watching the Haphazard Stuff videos that someone here mentioned. I didn't know that Roger Moore started playing Bond in his mid 40s. I still don't see the old Bond that many talk about. Although I do get a laugh when he can barely get out of the Lotus in For Your Eyes Only.

I will wait and see what Daniel Craig brings for Spectre. After Skyfall I was disappointed and not expecting much. The rule of three happened and Skyfall isn't a Goldfinger or The Spy Who Loved Me. But with them using the Spectre title and I guess knowing that Thunderball and On Her Majesty's Secret Service are two of the best Bond movies. If it's good. I'll want to see how far Daniel Craig can go.

He surely won't look much older in the next few films than he does now. That said, oh what was I going to say? I'm watching The Mirror Crack'd now.

I could see Craig aging quite well into his late 40's and early 50's. I would certainly not rule out a Bond 26 for DC which could be released between 2019-2021, which would be when Craig is between 51-53.
  • superdaddysuperdaddy englandPosts: 917MI6 Agent
Think he could probably do another two, if 25 and 26 take two years each to make he will be 49 and 51 so not to bad after all Tom Cruise is 53 and is still playing Ethan Hunt but Tbh Tom is ageing better than Dan as well as being a lot taller as well :))

Frankly, I can't wait for Craig to quit the role and someone else to take over. He has done enough.
