The Blofeld Trilogy?

Some fans suspect that SPECTRE will be the first part of "The Blofeld Triology" (from the books). I've not read the books so I don't know, but what would this 'Blofeld triology' involve?

    Well even if you didn't read the books (I am still yet to embark on the Blofeld trilogy in the books myself) I'm sure you know that the original Blofeld trilogy is TB - OHMSS - YOLT. Apart from YOLT, the other ones are already pretty faithfully adapted...

    Since the actual Books that Blofeld has appeared have already been adapted, they will have to make new Stories revolving around him. I'm hoping that we see Bond strangle Blofeld to Death like in the YOLT Novel -{

    Agreed, I'd love the final film to use lots of elements from
    YOLT. ( The Garden of death etc) I'm guessing the first
    Film will be setting up the story, with a bit of personal loss
    For Bond in the second and with Bond getting his justice
    Against Blofeld (if that's who it is ) in the third. :D

    I'm hoping that the brutal Sword fight between Bond and Blofeld in YOLT is kept until the final Film with Blofeld.

    Even though I've never read the novels, "The Garden Of Death" has always intrigued me and I think it would make a great title.

    The Blofeld trilogy will be a two movie arc story IMO. Hopefully they will do something new with the TB-OHMSS parts, and film for the first time the castle and Garden of Death, although updating it of course.

    +1 hopefully it will be a two movie arc, because Craig only has Spectre and one more.

    I would love it if Blofeld was revealed at the end of Spectre. A Cameo by another actor.
    With Bond 25, Craigs Swansong. Being Blofeld's defeat.

    Just to let you all know that this book has been re-released today as 'The Spectre Trilogy' as an eBook and is available in the Kindle store and on iTunes.

    If you prefer the feel of an actual book in your hands then you'll have a bit of a wait as the paperback version isn't released until 1st October.

    whoever they would get would just fail in comparison to what we've seen so far of Christoph Waltz, so i say either hes oberhauser or blofeld, but either way he's the boss
    ectre. A Cameo by another actor.

    This is possible, but from what I understand of how the early drafts of the script end the story - at that time they seemed to have left it open ended - with either Waltz's character put into a position where he can no longer be a future threat or where he could also return in the future for another showdown with Bond. Of course, this has probably been changed by now so this maybe the last we see of him (unless of course he is not Blofeld but turns out to be the leader who preceeds him - which I would be fine with).

    If this becomes the case, it would give more credence to Walz's repeated denial that he is Blofeld. It would make sense to begin a new "Blofeld" or "spectre" trilogy with Onerhauser as another spectre villain (in the vein of Dr No, Rosa Klebb, etc.) then working our way up to the final confrontation with the man himself. Granted, it still seems silly to me the idea of casting Christoph F-ing Walz in a Bond movie called f-ing SPECTRE and not have him be Blofeld, but it would make sense if they're planning something long-term (or at least spanning two or three more movies).

    If it ends up that Waltz/Oberhauser isn't Blofeld I would imagine that EON would get a serious heavy hitter and/or big name to be Blofeld (Anthony Hopkins, Jeremy Irons, Ian McKellen, etc). I wonder if EON (in this post Austin Powers era) could get away with a classic FRWL/TB style partial reveal (hands, lap, white cat and voice) at the end of SPECTRE? I think if done well, real Bond fans might like it but others might see it as self parody.

    I think the reason they've given is that Blofeld's likeness was completely obliterated by Austin Powers' Dr. Evil. It's really sad, but the parody has become more infamous than the original source. If they put that Blofeld in (with the baldness, the scar, and the cat in the lap, and the evil chair w/ wheels), every non-diehard-bondfan is gonna be like, "007 ripped off Austin Powers!"

    Very True :)) but I think we're in for a more up to date and contemporary
    Villain, whatever his name turns out to be ! :D

    If Benedict Cumberbatch can be a more modern (?!) Khan and Heath Ledger an updated Joker, than maybe we can have a 21st century Blofeld. Re-imagined and brought up to date.

    I would certainly hope so, rather than a rehash of the film version of Blofeld. The Blofeld of the novels was a much more complicated character that only Telly Savalas actually hinted at.

    Book Blofeld has a Touch of Arrogance when regards to his Level of Intelligence. I hope that Christopher Waltz can pull off something similar -{

    Well he is a brilliant Actor, so I'm sure he can.
