    Sorry about the poor composition but as we try to identify the Morocco sunglasses, here is a pic of my Steve McQueen 714s. Notice the bridge matches well to picks. Fold ups?

    They do seem to be folding sunglasses I just think the frames are smaller than the 714s which points me to the 9714s(smaller version of 714). Either way I think it could easily be either one once we get a better picture.

    I thought all 714 are foldable? The 649 is the non-foldable equivalent as far as I know -{

    Late to the party but been wearing these for a while now, love it. Gift from the wife for Christmas last year, would be way cool if it becomes part of Bond lore! Not that it needs it.

    Chance is that the glacier sunglasses are also Tom Ford in that case?

    No, i don't think so, I think the Vaurnet logo (old version) was pretty clear on the screen shots.

    Bond edition DB9 GT. So let's summarize it this way:

    - in 2006 Aston Martin releases the DBS which was their flagship vehicle, above the DB9, which was clearly indicating that a DB9 is more of a "standard" model,
    - a few years later they're putting into production the Virage, which was not selling very well,
    - so they stopped making the Virage, instead they called it the DB9 saying it's the new DB9 (which actually was still a Virage with a different badge),
    - in the meantime the DBS's production was stopped and the Vanquish was unveiled,
    - by that time the DB9 had more power already than the DBS in 2006 because of all it's upgrades,
    - the actuall Bond car is the DB10, which will not be put into production, the flagship model is the Vanquish but instead they took the DB9 GT edition and gave it a few 007 badges.

    All this kind of messes with my brain, I guess buying a Bond edition DB9 GT is like buying one of those Omegas with a gunbarrel on the dial. 8-)

    you gotta admit though:
    all these companies involved in SPECTRE are milking the connection with their brand for all that it's worth :s

    That's a pretty spot-on analogy.

    The Aston Martin DBS is my favourite car. That should have been Craigs Aston for the duration of the series. The DB10 is a nice car but unusual to see Bond driving a concept car. Also don't see the benefit for Aston Martin of putting a car in the movie that they will never make any money off. The DBS would have been a better shout in my personal opinion. It's not like the rest of the range is selling out like hotcakes.

    The DBS is my favourite car, but the one Lazenby and Moore drove. They can't have Bond in an old Aston Martin. The new Vanquish would make the most sense, though I guess they wanted something more special for Bond. Putting the Vanquish in the new film wouldn't do as much for Aston Martin since it's already been around a few years. I think making a special car for Bond has brought them more attention than putting Bond in a model that has been around a few years. It kind of reminds me of the U.N.C.L.E. car in that it's special for the production.

    Mines the DBS from casino royale , absolutely loved it particular the size perfect for me.
    Loving the new db9 especially those 007 badges , they've really milked it.
    Would say yes to either that's face it but if I'm pushed for a choice I'd go for the DBS.
    Now stopped dreaming as I climb into my Audi A5 :))

    I love the OHMSS Aston Martin -{ , I think the older AMs looked
    more elegant, than the rather "Muscle car" look of the modern ones.

    The original DBS had a similar shape to the American muscles cars of the late 60s, but DBS took that shape and made it into something elegant.

    I agree. The OHMSS Aston Martin is awesome. I too am partial to the older looking models. The DB5 is of course beautiful as well. But, my dream car is the V8 coupe in TLD.

    I'd have to agree with mudz113, partialy at least. Why? I liked the fact that in Fleming's "Casino Royale" Bond had a Bentley he bought before the war. He was keeping it during the whole WWII in a garage and he was taking very good care of it. In 1953 it was already a 23 year old automobile. The DBS in the film however was given to him just because it fitted his cover - a young guy who has too much money and likes to waste it on poker. The idea of Craig having one car troughout the series is good but in my opinion that should be the DB5. It's his personal car, he won it in a poker game (we have to assume it's the same one after a wheel swap in Gaydon because it wouldn't make much sense that he has two of those) and he was pretty much pissed off when it was blown up in "Skyfall". So it means something to him, just like that Bentley Blower. Since we saw some on set pictures of the DB5 in "Spectre" and even a glimpse of it in the trailer it will still be his car of choice in the Craig's era. The only movie it will not make an appereance in will be "QoS" as for now.

    The DB10 is just Bond's another "weapon". It's not his personal car, not a thing he will probably take good care of - he really doesn't give a sh*t about these "company cars", that's why he wasn't actually ashamed after wrecking those two DBS's.

    The Aston Martin DB5 is, and probably will stay, Bond's personal car of choice in the series and I have to say - good choice Mr Bond -{

    I don't think anyone would mistake Craig for 'a young guy' in CR. An emotionally stunted one, yes, young, no. ;)

    He did look a lot younger than in Skyfall though. And more than the six years that had passed in real time.

    He was 38 years old in "Casino Royale", everyone who's less then 40 years old and drives and Aston is considered young. :P He wasn't definitely old, he was looking by the way younger then Connery did in "Dr No" (Connery was 32 years old in it!!!)

    You must give me the name of your occulist.

    While, I concede that most Aston drivers in the real world are 50 something fat knackers, I'm sorry I can't agree Dan looked younger in CR than 32 year old Connery, or even Connery a year later in FRWL. He certainly looks a lot older than Lazenby! IMO, Dan at 38 looks the same age as Tim in TLD, or even LTK...

    Connery looks 50 out of the gate. It's a great look, but I've never met a 32 year old who looks as old as Connery does in DR NO.
