Odd that the Canadian is cheaper, especially considering the FX. If you convert it to USD, it ends up being roughly USD$975.

That is odd!!!!! $1390 for US people

    Mistake for Canada pricing?

Just to reiterate what hthomas posted, AJB member Flighty has said that you should be sizing up for this matchless jacket, so maybe grab a large if you missed out on the mediums.

Is this based on experience of generic Matchless jackets?

Mark kindly put up some sizing info to maybe take into account, from the models he tried he was the same size as his JV

    Check out posts

    2,774
    2,797

Of course DONT take this as fact as the Craig Blouson could be different fit but its the best info I've seen about Matchless on here. After my experience with Skyfall jackets - its always a bit of a gamble

    DOUBLE EDIT: Medium gone again!

    ...And back again!

    Gone again

Took about 45 mins for the Medium to sell out by my timing

Damn just in time indeed. Phew...

Just hope it's the right fit now! :)

Got a large!! - at least I think so, order details say "processing" so is there a possibility they might come back and say "out of stock", or should I be ok?

I just hope this jacket's screen time is not a "blink and you'll miss it" moment from the film!

Just snagged a large through the Canadian website. Good luck to all those living abroad, hopefully the customs hit won't be awful :D

On another note, their Italian credit card processing system is the worst!! Was worried the jacket was going to get away. I was thankfully able to grab a jacket though.

Matchless now saying online from Matchless website only. I guess maybe they have pulled from stockists (as previously mentioned) for now due to demand

A quick distraction from the Matchless jacket: there are 2 (1 M, 1 XXL), Moncler versions of the 'Solden' jacket in black on Farfetch from an Italian store with knitted collar, rather than new season padded collar at £385, in case anyone is interested. http://www.farfetch.com/uk/shopping/men/moncler-padded-jacket-item-11132136.aspx?storeid=9309&ffref=hd_bag

Flannels also have them back in

Looks like the newer version at Flannels is also polyester fill and not down like the older wool neck version.

Seems a few have had problems with security checks - I went the Paypal route to be on the safe side

42 chest, maybe heading toward 44 -but nothing that a few weeks of moderation can't fix!

Do we know if these are slim fit?

or Bond being a bit of a drama queen saying: "ok we're here now for an hour so everybody's seen my outfit by now...time to change."

I guess the question is, whether they are only releasing so many for sale to the website at a time?

Are we going to find all sizes available again tomorrow, etc.?
  • Smithers500Smithers500 Spectre IslandPosts: 1,347MI6 Agent
Maybe but at some point the 700 will run out, so just glad I got one now...

True, a bird in the hand and all that.

I've ordered a large and will see how things play out.

In the new photo of both standing next to the rail line, Bond has a suitcase, Swann doesn't. So maybe he packed and she joined at short notice?

Always a pain with any Ltd release with people at work / travelling / time differences on the other side of the world etc.

Im fortunate to work from home and 4 hours behind UK so set the alarm for 9am UK as I had a sneaky feeling they would be unleashed around opening business time.

Hopefully not all the mediums have been released and only drip fed.

On the plus side I'm sure we will have a swap merry go round of sizes which is usually the norm around here

Do people really believe there will be a limit to 700? As per Billy Reid peacoat they will make it permanent part of collection if the demand is there. I don't believe a word when they say limited!! Money talks!

Also 700 is actually quite a large number for an expensive jacket, which can be quite easily identified. Anyone else worried that they will bump into a few other blokes all wearing the same jacket? It's a bit more obvious than say the JV or BR etc.

700 jackets being sold and distributed across the world. I think the odds are very slim you will meet one of these 700 from various countries!!!!! I never met somebody with the original Barbour which was really massed produced with 5-6 runs maybe??

Yes will be interesting to see if they do a Billy Reid / Barbour / Levi etc. Im not familiar with the brand enough to be honest.

Do they generally stick to their word e.g. Avengers?

The owner of my local shop (which is in a small town) has 17 of the jackets due to be in his shop before end of October, hence my concern about exclusivity. Its also a bit more out there in terms of colour but maybe I am just being overly alarmist!

I notice Matchless now saying "available only on Matchless website"

Yesterday they were saying will be available from dealers etc.

Not sure if that means they have changed their mind due to the demand on their website since resulting in them adding more stock today (a lot of pressure was put on them yesterday with all our complaints)

Because it is only available on the website. No one else is selling it ... Yet.
700 is 007 backwards and I'm actually surprised they've done that many.
