They look great Harris. They fit you quite well.

Honestly, my Markos (may it rest in peace at the bottom of Monterey Bay) was never the most solid feeling pair of sunglasses. They were among the more delicate of the aviators I've tried. The Snowdon I tried on was fine and looked good, but not as solid feeling as my acetate Persols. I'll have to try a pair of the Henrys and see what you mean.

Just received my jacket! Very happy with the product, the packaging was great and on par with what you'd expect from a jacket of this price. Unfortunately had to pay CAD$325 in duties and tax (about USD$240), so in the end it was about USD$1215 for me.

The leather quality if phenomenal and I'm a huge fan of the styling. Jacket is a bit short on me though, but that may just be the styling.

I ordered an L: I am an L in the Billy Reid and Barbour Commander; don't have the JV or Levis. I'm usually a Size 50IT suit and 16 for dress shirts.

Sorry for the shoddy pic qualities, just took em very quickly with my phone!

John Varvatos is rereleasing the jacket in October. I purchased mine in a size XXL and it fits perfectly and the quality is fantastic. As a whole, they provided me with excellent customer service and were pleasure doing business with.

I was also charged $100.42 from UPS for customs; I spoke with UPS customs brokerage department afterwards and I believe they are refunding all but $7 of that.

I'm sure the US buyers would love to know what you said to UPS to get a refund on the customs charge.

The receipt stated that the VAT amount was 0,00 multiple times and I brought this to their attention. I was told the problem arrived from the conversion from dollars to euros (manufacturers end) and also the fact that they stated the value was more than the $1,390.00.

My concern was paying the VAT twice if I exchanged the item for a different size. I will follow-up once I actually receive a refund.

Forgive me if I am misunderstanding this, but why would UPS refund you? Don't you have to pay customs regardless i.e. it's acharged by the US, separate from VAT which is a European charge? If you were refunded for VAT, would that not come from Matchless? Thanks for helping clear this up, I'm sure a bunch of us would love to recoup the customs charge :D

I called UPS for clarification as to why I was charged a $100.42 customs fee for the item, spoke with a few different representatives, and was told that I would be receiving a check for the difference in the mail. I will gladly follow-up here if/when I do receive a refund.

Anybody unloading a JV size L any time soon? I don't want to have to wait until sometime in October. I had bought the XL and it was a bit too big for me. I'm 6', 44 chest, 22 shoulders, 38 waist. It kind of hung, and I prefer a glove fit. I'm hoping they don't change a damn thing for the next production run. Nothing cheesy like logos, changed lining, proportions, etc. I want my XL as a L perfectly - it's too bad they were sold buy the time of my exchange request and wasn't able to get it right away. I'm pretty confident that size L will nail it.
I love the Matchless Craig Blouson but I've got 5 Belstaffs in my closet (that brand was the best - I feel good about every one of those purchases) and so it's a tough call to pay another $1500 USD to Connecticut for another cool jacket. It might be too light colored and therefore "fragile" for wearing it in, anyway. I tend to use mine quite a bit once the weather changes here.
I watched Skyfall tonite with my son and was enamored with the ToKiTo jacket. I totally should've pulled the Walther on it a couple of years ago. Back in the day there was a bit of a "Belstaff vs Barbour" thing going on (at least for me) and I couldn't bring myself to go in for the ToKiTo although it was available to me at the time. But that's indeed a timeless jacket and congratulations to the members here who scored it. Feel free to post nostalgic pics because it's always a pleasure to look at. Great design and materials. If it was on sale tomorrow I'd buy it and maybe sell one of my Belstaffs - although they are precious to me.
But right now for me it's all about there JV - I can envision myself enjoying it for years. So please reach out if you have a size L ...otherwise I'll dip into the next release crossing my fingers they don't add/change anything and keep it pure

Barbour still sell a jacket which is almost identical to the Tokito, it's called the Commander B and there is a link to how to buy it on the James Bond Lifestyle website. There are a couple on eBay as well.

Is it me or in the photo, looking at the neck, does it look like DC is wearing three layers?

I know he wears the mock turtleneck under the JV but anything else?

I imagine that it's not a third layer, but just the mock folding and creating the look of something else underneath.

I have a JV jacket in a large that is new, in jacket cover and tags still attached. It was one of the ones returned to the London store from filming. I really need a medium and so happy to sell for what I paid plus postage. I am UK based. I have a medium on order with JV and just hope it's the same.

Then again maybe they are producing them in batches so they can monitor sizing demand and not stuck with 50 XXXXL jackets etc

Thanks for the kind words guys, very happy about the purchase! Probably my favourite out of the 3 jackets I own. Never imagined I'd end up buying a tan suede jacket, but it looks great in person, especially when you're wearing it. Just hoping it doesn't get dirty :)) Hoping everyone wanting to get one will be able to find one in their size! At 700 jackets, especially at this price, I'm optimistic everyone who wants one can get one
