A word of warning to anyone thinking of buying the Lodge Hoody, like many popular labels, Canada Goose is widely counterfeited. Buy only from legitimate sellers and if the price looks too good to be true, it almost certainly is.

    Argh-

I got excited and pulled the trigger on a jacket from Amazon - and a third party seller to boot. It was the same price as the authorized sellers, though. What should I look for when it arrives to ensure it's legit?

I guess that new Canada Goose parka is only to keep him warm in-between filming!

If it's the same price as authorised sellers, there's a reasonable chance that it's genuine because the fake ones tend to be around half-price. Unfortunately, I don't know the specifics on this particular model (one of the tell-tale differences on the parkas is the quality of the fur trim on the hood: the real ones are coyote, the fake are clearly not!). My wife has a CG down jacket. I'll check it tonight to see if there's anything notable...I think there might be a hologram tag inside the real ones...but ultimately the real ones are just really good quality and very, very light.

Im guessing this was the outfit actually filmed yesterday (hopefully without the life jacket :D )

Is that the TF Fur Jacket with the fur detached? Looks navy

Another pic - def the outfit filmed

That does look remarkably like the TF jacket, especially with the offset front zip you can just see under the life-jacket. It looks almost like he is wearing a Naval style cream roll neck under it.

This shot reminds me a lot of the casino arrival scene in Skyfall.

Look possibly like Canada Goose gloves on DC today guess might not be worn on set though

My guess would be that those are the screen-used boots. It's too cold to be messing around with changing boots once on the boat. Much easier to put them on in the hotel and head to set. The parka can be slipped off and the wardrobe jacket already on underneath...or quickly and easily slipped on...but not the boots.

Think your right!! Think they finished the boat scene though and this is todays shoot (post 98 picture)!

Like this off screen jacket better than the other CG one.

But it doesn't get cold enough here to bother with any of these items so far.

Interesting point, however it looks like he is wearing something other than jeans on the boat, implying the boots may also change.

The black hikers look to be Danners as well.

It's possible they are the WingsxHorn collab boot, but I doubt it.

Any ideas on the glasses? I looked on Persol and Tom Ford, I don't see anything that looks close.

My gut tells me these glasses might be in the film over the recent Persols from yesterday.

They don't look TF to me. I think they are tortoise shell and could potentially be Persol but I can't find anything yet.

Youre right to doubt it! the style of boot is very different, not a stitched on sole, rather a glued on one - looks like a Lowa, Miendl or Altberg military/police boot - I have the Altbergs which look the same, but slightly taller

I hope they are Persols. They do resemble The brand. I don't mind TF but Persol is more affordable and in my opinion compliments the Bond character more
    Shocking...

I'd like a return to Persols as well. I prefer them in general to the Tom Fords.

I just re-watched Casino Royale, and out of curiosity has anyone tried to identify all the Persol models shown in the film (The sunglasses the bomber tries on at the Miami airport, the background people in the outdoor cafe in Montenegro, etc)?

Any idea on the parka? Looks like a de-labeled Selkirk as the pockets are straight so it's not the constable. Which is shame as I just bought one after seeing Bautista in his military green!!
I chose the more Bondian approach and got it in black.

Agree, the DM shots clearly show not jeans, more like thermal joggers with hiking socks rolled over the boot top ? Good old DM cant write a sensible report or an accurate one :))

Right that killed an hour at work :D

Look like these are the 8 inch variant, judging from the red marked areas:

These would sit very much lower on 6 inch models:

    Good spot!

Also I think we would maybe see the top curve of the ankle padding if it was 6" version

For anyone wanting sizing info on the Lodge Hoody, I picked one up today in a medium and I'm a 40.

The important thing to note is that the "slim fitting/fitted" line that goes with the CG ads for it isn't a great description; the medium - my usual size choice (though I come out a large in the Barbour) - gives what I'd consider a relatively standard fit, and I don't think there'll be any issue with layering beneath.

Might try my Penfield and R&B Chelsea later.

    Thanks for the information.

I almost searched the whole web for an authorized Canada Goose dealer who still had the spirit colored Lodge Hoody in "S" and/or "M" in stock and offered international shipping. Fortunately, I was able to find two online shops and just ordered both sizes. I will report back as soon as they arrive and provide information about the actual sizing and feel - I hope it won't be long.

Anyone got a view on the sizing of Danners boots, take usual size or up / down ???

I had a pair of Dicksies for about 15 years, and they are finally done, so may just get my bud in USA to order me a pair as they look good and seem to get great reviews....

Not sure if Danner sizing runs consistent across the different models.. but I have been wearing Danner boots for almost 12 years at the police department for my duty wear. (Our dept issues one of the gore-tex model duty boots now to all graduating trainees).. I typically wear an 8.5 in most all brands of footwear and my danners are as well ... Prefect fit and hold up quite well.. Pretty bomb proof duty boot.. a lot of guys wear the sole out and just get them resoled because the leather and upper construction holds up over time and abuse..

At this point none of this is Bond's on screen wardrobe. Its just Craig's personal clothes to stay warm on location.
