On the very first pages of Ian Fleming's "Casino Royale" there is a description of Bond's face. It says that it's a cold face of a paid assasin or something like that. Craig looks the most intimidating from all the Bonds, that's why I always thought "this is exactly what Ian Fleming was writing about" -{ But everyone is entitled to his own opinion, fortunately Craig has a huge fan base :)

There are multiple mentions of Bond's appearance, none match dc, he is neither an attractive Bond nor a gentleman spy, anyone who says so I repeat is entitled to a slap.incidentally Bruce Jenner has a huge fan base too.

So you say I'm entitled to a slap. Great.

What's interesting that me for example I'm not a fan of Moore's Bond or Lazenby's. Do I say that their fans are entitled to a slap in the face? Not really.

sure you're welcome to think hes not an attractive Bond, but you certainly shouldn't say anyone else who thinks so should be slapped, in which case you must think a lot of women (and men) must be slapped thanks to this litte ol' pic.

What do you think of his looks in the new Heineken photos? Seeing these photos is one of the few times I look at him and think James Bond. Another time was when I saw the first promo photo of him in black tie as James Bond. Both times he had longer hair than in any of his Bond films, but not the longer hair from the first announcement of him as James Bond.

I think Craig looks convincing as bond, ladies obviously like him but he's not a pretty boy and he can look steely.
I've always thought Michael Fassbinder looks how Fleming imagined Bond.

    Spot on TP

My view entirely, the arguing over who is JB / who should be / good or bad is all personal view...

Go with who is chosen and accept them. DC is a fine actor and is a great Bond. Hes added a lot personally and is instrumental in so many positive changes bringing the films up to date and now back on track...

And yrs I am a DC fan !!!
    Skewered, one sympathises...

Craig does look amazing as Bond and fits the modern day interpretation perfectly. That's not even up for discussion. The fact that he is a bit older now just comes with the job. The Heineken photos aren't the most flattering to his face but they will be forgotten about it by the time the movie comes out. Craig in Casino/Quantum was phenomenonal and had women around the world drawn into Bond more so then ever before (especially after CR). If you look back over the years - the Connery in Dr No looks much more James Bond then NSNA. Same with Moore - who looked amazing in LALD and then looked nothing like Bond in AVTAK. Just the drawbacks of getting older unfortunately.

Not everyone can look like George Clooney when they turn 50.

Stumbled across alternative Spectre poster trousers in Club Monaco.
I'd say that the color on the image with the price tag is the most accurate representation of the real life color (at least on my screen).

You mean you don't remember the voice-over on the early DN-GF trailers banging on about the "gentleman spy with the licence to kill????? I'd expect the kids of AJB not recalling them (though just see the trailers on your DVDs/BluRays) but not an older AJBer... ;)

And where did that idea of selling James Bond as the gentleman spy in movies come from ? I'd auggest it was the novels of IF, and Terence Young dressed and directed Sean Connery as such...

Patronising aside - thank you, sir - pretty sure Young played up the sophistication of the books with the work he put in to Connery.

Because a huge part of the USP for UA when they financed the books and Cubby bought them was the gentlemanly sophistication of the Fleming character.

Never thought of Connery as a Scottish Truck driver in his Bond kit and environs. Just as I don't see Craig as a chippy fake Scouser when he's Bond. Just one who's carrying a bit too, much filler these days.

He looks fine in the trailer ( to me anyway), so I'm not worried. :D
Might be the lighting, designed to show the material of the suit etc.
As the lighting on the face is very flat, giving much less definition
    To his features.

People usually let their hair go long in this situation, like Pierce Brosnan in the beginning of the fourth series of Remington Steele. He was taking a break from his life and trying to find himself, quite literally.

I have to agree with TP here. I always cut my hair super short when I know I wont be in the mood or have enough time to deal with it for a few weeks. I can't stand hair out of place, so the maintenance requirements of long hair is not something I would want to bring along with me if I was trying to "get away" from it all. So, I guess I could relate to that aspect of Skyfall. Notice that he does let his beard grow, that's something I do too when I don't give a damn. But, letting my hair go too, now that's just too much :D .

Plus, when he had that girl up against the wall, her hands were all up on his head; if he had long hair, she could have pulled on it! I think Bond knew the kind of trouble he might be getting into while enjoying death :)) I can totally see someone letting their hair grow too tough. That's why I think its just personal preference.

One of the last pictures in this article shows DC with a belt in the JV jacket outfit trousers. Looks like his Npeal sweater is tucked in, but it's hard to see. Not sure if we had analyzed this yet.

Hehe! At least the thread is back on topic!! 8-)

Looking at the picture it's possible the belt is the QoS Prada belt going on the buckle. But the Spectre belt might have more rounded corners on the buckle, but it may be the quality of the picture. The Prada buckle is very sharply square on the corners.
