So, is the For Your Eyes Only teaser taking place in 1969?

    As for Blofeld not recognizing Bond, it can be taken the way it is, as a plothole, or maybe consider that the Blofeld in either YOLT or OHMSS is a clone like his ones in DAF, which is why he is unaware that the Sir Hillary he met is really Bond undercover.
    Let's just all agree on this - every Blofeld is a clone. Real Blofeld is never revealed.......
    I could live with that.

    The chopper that picked up Bond looked too modern for 1969.

    As Gassy Man pointed out in his other thread, it's nearly the same Bell 206 helicopter that was used in OHMSS.

    On a similar train of thought, the Beckton Gasworks plant closed in 1970. So if the PTS was taking place in 1969 the plant would not have been abandoned. :D
    Ah, but On Her Majesty's Secret Service takes place at Christmas, meaning the catch up to Blofeld could, in fact, be in 1970. It can take months to heal from a broken neck, assuming, of course, that Blofeld's injuries are directly the result of fighting with Bond. :)

    Good point about Christmas. However, in order for Tracy to have died in 1969 the film's Christmas must have taken place in December of 1968. (Actual filming at Piz Gloria was in 1968)

    Maybe the 'Blofelds' we saw after TB were fakes and that the real Ersnt Stavro Blofeld had long fled to some distant Corner of the World?

    So let's say Tracy died at the start of 1971 and DAF happens before OHMSS. What if the PTS takes place after LALD? That way, the helicopter old presumably be the correct one, and Beckton would be closed.

    Hmm. Are you thinking that because of the season for the wedding? You may be on to something there. But is the Gasworks identified onscreen as such? Could we believe it was not the same building?

    In FYEO the headstone states that Tracy died in 1969 so it's not really open for debate.

    It doesn't specify the month, but I imagine it was in May?

    In LTK, Leiter mentions that Bond was married 'A long Time ago' So this obviously indicates that some Time has passed between OHMSS and LTK -{
