Noone has mentioned the line at "55 in the trailer from DC: "M wasn't MI6" as he passes the ring to Mr. White. She was SPECTRE
The line is, "It wasn't MI6" I believe. As in, the meeting where Mr. White's name came up wasn't an MI6 meeting, it was SPECTRE
Yes. Absolutely agree totally. There's no way M was working with QUANTUM or SPECTRE
I've listened with my earphones in for extra clarity and swear he says 'M' not 'it'. Have another listen!
I've also found other dubbed versions on youtube - French, German, Spanish, Russian...do they translate the same, or am I just hearing/hoping this could be a plot for SPECTRE?

He clearly says 'it wasn't Mi6' - not sure how you heard anything else ?:)
My hearing must be getting bad, but every time I hear the first word of the sentence phonetically as 'em'. I can't hear the t sound from 'it' DC has mumbled quite a lot in his 007 flicks so who knows.
I don't have any issues with how DC looks ( in fact I can think of a couple of
AJBers, who think he's drop dead gorgeous. ) , so "looks" are all subjective.
Believe it or not, many feel I'm an ugly, fat, bast*rd. Yet when I look in the mirror
I see a suave, urbane man about town ( I think he's a friend of the Wife ) )
Just meeting him live his small stature does kind of shock you! My wife thought he was hot until seeing him in the flesh..he didn't measure up!
He says "it wasn't MI6" in response to White believing that "they" were talking about him in "London." It was at the SPECTRE meeting that he was mentioned.

That's not what Sienna Miller said.

Bond is sent to Mexico to assassinate an enemy of the state. This goes wrong and he ends up chasing him through the streets. The enemy escapes via helicopter but Bond gets on board, kills the villain and assumes control of the chopper. He retrieves a Spectre ring from dead enemy.
Bond returns to London where M gives him a bollocking because MI6 is about to merge with MI5 and somehow that's Bond's fault??
So as usual, he's handed some personal effects from Skyfall and goes home to sulk. It turns out Judy Dench has a lead on Mr a white from beyond the grave that also links him to his foster family, the Oberhausers. Bond heads off and corners Mr White. Who agrees to sell out Spectre and Oberhauser if Bond agrees to protect his daughter. Bond agrees, White spills and the tops himself.
Bond goes to Rome to meet White's daughter and also sees Oberhauser. They are chase :007) d.
Then they end up in Austria, where they meet Batista, who tries to kill them. Bond ends up in an aeroplane.
Then they end up in Tangiers, where Oberhaser's lair is. There is classic Bond has dinner with the baddie scene here. It all goes tits up but Bond escapes and Onerhauser is presumed dead.
Bond gets back to London but finds MI6 no longer exists. Then he finds out Oberhauser is alive and well and is lurking in the derelict MI6 building. Bond has to get there to rescue Mr White's daughter, which he does, and then there is a helicopter chase over the Thames. Bond brings down the chopper with a flare and it crashes onto one the river bridges. Oberhauser stumbles out and Bond reveals his real name is Enst Stavro Blofled!!! Instead of killing him, Bond hands him over to the cops.
Roll credits.
Or so I've been told. At least it has the gunbarrel at the start.
Close but no cigar -{
Yeah..looks like you got an 'early version' :007)
It is a little simplified, but it jives with the updated shooting outline Broccoli sent Sony execs after Purvis and Wade revised Logan's script.
Just out of curiousity, how much members here did actually read the script? Since I did seem to come across quite a few members who did. (I know that whatever has leaked was an early version.)
I commented on the official teaser trailer on YouTube the other day, and got several comments from random people there. One of the people actually said: "Care to read the script? followed by a dropbox link" It was tempting, but I chose not to touch it, I think I would be dissapointed in november had I known the whole plot already.

i couldn't help myself from reading part of the script, but i'm not insane to read the whole thing and spoil the whole movie. Just a taste, because this is looking to be the best Bond film ever. I mean Skyfall is debatably better or worse than Casino Royale, Spectre is looking leagues better than both. This really feels like Mendez's Dark Knight
even if it is ripping off austin powers' with the brother thing
Getting back to the trailer, although I liked it overall, I didn't like Moneypenny's comment "you don't trust anyone."
First, this dialogue is incredibly "on the nose" and the same idea could've been communicated much more subtly.
Second, this bit of dialogue is a standard bit of screenwriting nonsense. There's a "rule" now that a secondary character must tell the main character (preferably within the first ten minutes of the film) what his problem is and this will become the theme of the movie.
I hope this gets cleaned up a bit for the final version.
Babs, if you need some input, I'm available here on AJB. Almost anytime.

This would fit in with the Bond films current method of copying other successful films of the past decade.
"even if it is ripping off austin powers' with the brother thing"
Oberhauser and Bond are not brothers. Not even in the final shooting script. Even the trailer spells out that Hannes Oberhauser was given TEMPORARY custody of Bond from his Aunt Charmaine, who was his primary custodian after his parents died. At no time were Franz and James related. Not in the final shooting script and not in the trailer.
"(I know that whatever has leaked was an early version.)"
Actually, the shooting script was leaked as well. It was dated late October, right before filming started. I believe it contains the updates added by Purvis and Wade.

It's not a case of the Bond films copying other films, it's a case of all screenwriters working off the same beat sheet (see link), whether it's a rom-com or a horror film.
I tried my best not to peak at the trailer because I want to remain "pure" until I see the movie. I have successfully avoided reading the leaked scripts or any of the details they provide, but when it came to the trailer I gave in this morning. Although I wasn't exactly blown away, I like what I saw. The atmosphere and the hints of what's in store for Bond are intriguing and I'm anxious to see what they do with the SPECTRE organization in this new era of Bond. I'm sure the action shots will come in the later trailers, but as a teaser I think this one is just fine.
I'm not sure if I will be able to avoid peeking at new trailers as they emerge. It's starting to appear that I can resist anything except temptation! )

Well done for resisting as long as you did BL! {[]
I may try and resist the main trailer as it just shows so much of the film.. Nah! Who am I kidding!! )
I don't think I have the power to resist the next trailer. A couple of days ago somebody randomly commented on my YouTube comment and sent me the leaked script. Even that was pretty tempting, but I held strong and didn't click the damn thing )
