  Definitly Terence Young. He was Bond. He had a knowledge of fine food and drink and a fine taste in suits. He actually told Sean to sleep in his suit to wear it in.
  
  His methods of direction are cool. I like the screen wipe transition technique he used in Thunderball and i believe the way he introduced Bond was borrowed from a film made in the 1930's

  My vote goes to Young. He created the genre. He was the originator, the emancipator, the innovator, the architect. Wait, that was Little Richard.
