I do feel that she was rather wooden when her character turned into an ally of Bond though.
IMO that's why she becomes more than just a scary looking henchwoman. She actually turns against Zorin and has a chance to redeem herself by helping Bond. It's her best acting in the whole picture.

I find her delivery of that line rather stiff, but everyone has a different opinion.
If anything, her best acting for me is possibly in the scene when she gets into bed with Bond.
That, and when she separates Stacey from Bond.
"Hostile takeovers. Shall we?"

Grace Jones will always be in my book ,one of the greatest henchman(women) in the Bond series .For me she opitimises ,that era of
Women making a stand ,Thatcher , even though I hate her ,was the same .Before her most actress where soft Hollywood type bimbos ,but here came kick ass Grace ,and she took no prisoners .
No problem with Grace Jones as Mayday. And if I had a problem with her I wouldn't voice it, she looks like she takes no prisoners (Russell Harty!!!). To be fair I thought Zorin and Mayday were the greatest villain/henchman combination since Goldfinger/Oddjob.
